For the week off, Corinne stayed at her family hotel in Monaco. She always enjoyed Monaco, when she was fourteen Cori came to Monaco for the first time, (if her memory anyway). Cori never knew when or how she got the Monegasque citizenship but from what she remembers she's always had it.
Corinne always knew she was adopted; her parents were always honest with her. They also pushed for her to learn French, because it was her heritage. She wished she know more about her heritage than a language. But when she asked her father, he said it was a closed adoption. Out of the people that have died in her life Cori missed her father Henry the most. She and her adopted mother were not the closest of people mainly after Cori entered her teens.
Cori walks through the restaurant attached to her hotel, "How are things going today, Marco?" She asked the manager. The middle-aged man smiled at his boss. "It is going well, Miss Hoffmann. We have two VIP tables in the back." Corinne nodded, "I will go check on them and do some rounds." "Yes, of course, Miss," Marco said nodded slightly.
Cori went from table to table checking how everyone's meals and services were good. She reached the last table. "Bonjour, welcome to dulce caelum. How has your service been?" Cori asked. "Cori?" Pierre asked. "Pierre. It is good to see you again."
"It's good to see you, Corinne. Cori this is my family and my girlfriend." Pierre introduced. "It's lovely to meet you all," Cori asked smiling. "I didn't know you worked here," Pierre said causing the girl to laugh. "Pierre, I own this hotel. The whole chain of them to be exact."
Pierre was shocked. "You are Kathrine and Henry Hoffmann's daughter?" Pierre's mother asked. "Yes, I am," Cori said moving as the waiter brought through their food. "I'll leave you to eat, enjoy your time her. Oh... Amy dear, would you get our guests a bottle of the red I had shipped in from South Africa, I think they would enjoy it... on the house of course." The waitress nodded and walked off. Corinne smiled once again before walking off.

Corinne walked up behind the familiar figure; she wrapped her arms around the man's neck covering his eye. He felt a soft kiss on his cheek, "Guess who?" The person whispered. He smiles, relaxing into her arm, "Cori." He whispered.
Corinne giggles removing her hands and moving to stand in front of the man, "Micky." She smiles, "How I've missed you," she said being pulled into his arms. "You saw me four days ago," Mick replied. "I'll always miss you, Mick. If it's a day or a year." She said pulling back.
Mick smiled down at her. It has only been two weeks that she had travelled with his and Mick could feel his love for her grow. He had been in love with Cori since before he even knew what love was, but it was never a good time or he chickened out of telling her about his feeling. Mick still remembered the conversation he had with his dad about the young girl.
Micheal looked at his son as they watched the girl receive one of her many public speaking awards. "Mick, one day you'll have to tell her that you love her, because if you wait too long that smile will be for another man, and you will be stuck as her best friend."
"Mick?" Cori said placing her hand on his cheek. He shook his head smiling down at the girl. "Sorry Cori, just think," He said smiling down at her. "If you okay, we can walk to the restaurant." Cori said. "Ya, I'm good. Let's go."
