Vol 3 - Side story 5. Happiness is as usual

My brother is getting married.

The older brother who always pretended to be proud of himself. The older brother, who used to talk nonsense about his beauty too much to be tied to one person, is getting married. oh god

Jeong Yoon leaned his back against Chae Heon's chest as he ate the tangerine peeled by Chae Heon.

"Mother told us to come over. She says she'll give you wedding invitations."

"when?"

"Sometime this week or next weekend."

Let's say this weekend, there's only one day left. Today is Saturday, so tomorrow.

Chae Heon nodded his head, not being particularly surprised by the sudden suggestion.

"Let's go tomorrow. Buy something delicious."

"What do you keep trying to bring with you every time you go? It's my mother's house."

"Still."

"okay. Then I'll call mom later."

Chae Heon nodded and put the last tangerine into Jeong Yoon's mouth. Jeong Yoon, lying on the sofa, stretched out while chewing on a tangerine. Black-and-white movies are coming out on TV. It was a quiet afternoon, fragrant even with the smell of tangerine peel.

Jeong Yoon fiddled with his cell phone, wanting to call him right away, then put it back in. It was time for mom to rerun her favorite drama, so she meant to call just in time for it to end.

After he lived with Chae Heon, mother worried about him a lot.

She kept calling to ask if the bed was comfortable, if there was anything difficult, or if you were struggling. She worried and worried about everything as if she was treating her son-in-law who was sent by the mother-in-law.

Jeong Yoon answered each time. Don't worry, Mom. Chae Heon is really good at it.

In fact, mother did not allow him to live with Chae Heon from the beginning. When I told her,  mother kept her mouth shut and shook her head. He was so puzzled. Why would mother, who easily allowed older brother to become independent, say no to me? Maybe it's because he's the youngest and she's more sad?

When he asked older sister, 'Why is mother so stubborn?', she kept her silence, too, and only shook her head. She said, 'I'll try to talk to her'.

And out of nowhere, Chae Heon was called to the house. It's not like they're sending the son to marry, and I'm going to live with a friend.

The day Chae Heon first came. Chae Heon, who was alone with my parents without me, talked quietly for a while inside and then went home. See him at the company. Originally, I was going to have dinner and watch a movie while I was here.

Since then, Chae Heon voluntarily came to my house every week. It was when Jeong Yoon had already given up living with Chae Heon. Mother had firmly nailed it to him, saying it was premature, so he agreed. Even going against mother's wishes, he had no reason to be independent. I meet Chae Heon at the company every day.

Chae Heon also didn't talk about living together. Instead he came home every week. One day a bouquet of flowers for his mother. One day a shoe for his father. One day, he bought Korean beef to enjoy it. Fruit was something basic.

Then, after giving a present and saying hello, he went home without eating.

At that point, Jeong Yoon asked.

'Chae Heon-ah. what are you doing?'

Chae Heon just laughed. He said he's been busy with his parents' work on the weekend, so he's coming  for a while. What are you doing coming empty-handed?
