Chapitre 2 - Dating among the stars

The Megistus family, where Mona is from, is reputed for its great wealth; With her father being a police inspector and her mother, a formidable businesswoman. To the extent that even though her parents were often on business trips, Mona could've benefit of a huge apartment on the last floor of a huge building of Mondstadt neighbourhood.

On the evening after a first, exhausting school day, Mona got back home... Which was a rather calm place.

Mona: I'm back !

But as usual, she had no answer... This loneliness was part of her everyday life.

Lost in a sort of routine, she made space on the sofa of the living room, and put her bag there.

The young lady went in the bathroom, and stood in front of her mirror to remove her hair pins to let her hair down, and then undid her blouse. After getting ready for the evening, Mona opened her fridge and took a simple mixed salad. She then switched on her stove to heat up water in order to make herself some tea.

Mona: Roll on the beginning of next month... I could finally have a good restaurant meal with Fischl...

Indeed, despite the wealth of her parents, Mona had some issues with financial management. The money that her parents sent her every month, was mostly used to pay herself items that could be useful for astronomical observation...She unfortunately often found herself obliged to eat plain salads or even skip meals. But it didn't bother her that much.

When night time came, she always went on the roof of her building. It was the place where she installed her observation center, as she liked to call this place: it simply contained a longchair and many different telescopes.

On that night as well, Mona sat on this chair, laying half down and started to eat her salad without any pleasure whatsoever, except the fact that she could observe the starry night sky... Which was plenty enough to make her happy.

This was what we could usually say. This evening however, something was different. As if the sky that Mona observed was.... Mist-field by parasitic thoughts. The voice of this boy that she met earlier haunted hair. She remembered every word he said, as if they echoed inside her head.

Mona: This guy...

She then put her salad aside with an annoyed gaze, and walked up to her best telescope.

Mona: If I have doubts... I could just ask the stars to enlighten me. I could as well find things on this guy.

Mona looked attentively at the night sky for a few seconds, hoping to find something reassuring about this boy. Seconds that quickly changed into minutes without anything appearing before her eyes...

The young woman gave up, and sighed with an annoyed face.

Mona: Ughh... Why can't I find anything ?!

She then kicked the guardrail of the roof, with such strength that she hurt herself on the tibia.

Mona: Ahh !! I can't believe it!!!...

She rubbed her leg a moment before letting out a long sigh to find her calmness back.

Mona: Calm down Mona... It doesn't seem like you to react that way...

With a few steps, she then got closer to the guardrail, resting her arms on top of it before letting her chin rest on her wrists.

Mona: This guy... Was rather cute, though...

After being lost in her thoughts for a few minutes, a strange smell suddenly disturbed her. It was the smell of something burning.

Mona: What the...
