Chapter 12

William looked over to Freya with worried on his face, she's still asleep but he knows she's already been healed.

Julius looked for Astrid "Astrid, you're being a distraction for William that's why I decided that the two of you won't talk with each other until Freya leaves, Do I make myself clear?" Astrid nodded "Alright" she salutes Julius and excuses herself before leaving, she know it does look rude but she can't stand facing him since he addressed her as a distraction, Julius on the other hand, followed her with look knowing that she's not okay with his decision.

Klaus knock on Astrid's room "Astrid dinner is served come on" she remained laying on her bed "I'm not hungry!" she answered, Klaus understood what's happening but he doesn't want the Wizard King to felt bad "Please you have to join us and eat even a little" Astrid stood and opened the door "Alright alright!" she closed the door and walked, Klaus followed her "Astrid I understand what's happening but Don't take it personally" she took a deep breath "I Don't want to talk about it" he nodded.

Julius decided to join them for a dinner, William on the other hand was eating in silence without looking at Astrid, the other Golden Dawns noticed the gloomy atmosphere but none of them speaks, after the dinner Astrid went to the balcony and Julius approached her "Sir!" she looked on him, he nodded and smiled "I apologize for my rudeness earlier! it just that, I Don't know how will I feel..." she looked down the ground floor and Julius just listening to her "To be honest, I can't help but to blame myself...if only...if only William didn't made that surprise for me...if only I didn't act jealous or what! probably this thing can be avoided" she cried out of frustration, Julius took a deep breath.

"Astrid you Don't have to blame yourself" she shook her head "It's entirely my fault sir! I should have understand Captain evenmore! I should have act more formal!" Julius patted her back "I know you're doing your best to be a good magic knight and I understand you're being frustrated because of what happened with Freya but still, it's an accident. Whether William is around or not it could probably still happen" she wiped her tears "That's not true! Captain Vangeance is a great a Captain! he will never going to allow that to happen if only he is around that time!" Julius felt pity with her, he knows the only person who can enlighten her feelings is William but he doesn't want to take back the punishment.

Julius bid goodbye and Astrid decided to stay on her room reading some book.

FEW DAYS PAST.

"William let's walk at the market?" Freya asked, William just nodded "Yes but before that, I have to announce them their missions" Freya clapped her hand and hugged him.

"Yuno and Minosa I have mission for you" Yuno and Mimosa stood straight as they listen to William, Astrid was on the corner watching them William said she also have her own mission "I want you guys to check a dungeon close to the border of Heart Kingdom and Clover Kingdom" Yuno and Mimosa nodded "Astrid" Astrid walked towards him "Yes Captain?" William, took a deep breath "There's a recent report about an attack close to the border of Spade and Clover Kingdom, I want you to check it as well and immediately comeback here" she nodded "Wait, she's alone? how about sent someone with her?" Yuno said is worried tone "No worries. I can handle it" she smiled at them before she salutes at William"I'll do it Captain" William nodded "You have back up, if anything goes wrong..." she handed her a device"Immediately notify me" she nodded, at a second their eyes met and William couldn't hide his worry but Asrid looked away before she turn around.

She flew with her broom towards the location, as she fly she shook her head to stop herself for thinking about William.

Mimosa and Yuno went out already and William wore his mask.

Freya was so happy "Hey why don't you take off your mask?" she asked and was about to remove William's mask but he immediately move away "Please Do respect that I prefer not to take this off" she gasped and pouted her lips "That's unfair! when she's around you're not wearing your mask!" she kicked her feet like a kid "And you are not her" William smiled, she gasped and was dumbfounded.

Astrid reached her destination and contacted William "Captain?" he immediately answers "Astrid, what is it?" she looked around "That's strange, everything looks fine but I can feel strange mana" William frowned "Mana? how strong is it?" Astrid tried to walk around "Becareful!" Freya noticed that William was talking with her so she hugged William and he gasped "Strong... it's getting stronger- hold on, I'll contact you again just give me few minutes" Astrid ended the call "Come on William let's go there!" Freya dragged him towards a stall.

Astrid, clenched her fist and continue investigating.

As she walk around someone suddenly throw a ball at her, but to her surprised it blown up! she jumped and uses her magic to create a shield, she heard someone laughing and saw a lady holding a crystal ball "My looks like they sent me a weak opponent" Astrid rolled her eyes "You must from Spade Kingdom? what's your name?" The Lady landed and smiled menacingly "My name? Trix and who are you?" Astrid took a deep breath and opened her grimoire, she picked up her sword that was made of ice"My name is Astrid" Trix felt facinated with her sword "I want that! Can I add it to my collections?" A huge cabinet appeared on their side, Astrid saw a variety of weapons in there.

AN HOUR LATER

William still worried about Astrid but then he receives a call from her "Captain" he was surprised seeing her bleeding and catching her breath "Astrid! where are you!? what's happening?" Astrid motioned him to lower down his voice "There's a mage here, she's creating explosions and she has a variety of weapons... she's calling it-" Astrid run and a bomb was dropped on her location earlier "She's calling it collections, one of the items can suck magic...she was able to counter my magic using it" William frowned "I'll be there!" Astrid shook her head "Hold on, it's too dangerous! I'll retreat and let's plan something-" Another explosion happened and their communication got cut off "Astrid!" he shouted, the people on the cafe look on him "We have to go!" he grabbed Freya "What?" Freya pouted "I have to back up Astrid" Freya sense the coldness on William's word and she knows it won't be good if she refuse to follow him.

Astrid on the other hand, jumped away from Trix "Snow creation: snow armor" she tried creating an armor but Trix attacked using the device that sucking her magic "Go on! show me all your magic!" Trix laughed when she saw Astrid fall, she groaned holding her left arm "This is not good" she was about to get hit by Trix's ball of explosion but then, she was surprised when a tornado hit Trix "Astrid!" Mimosa ran towards her "Mimosa! Yuno! what are you two doing here?" Mimosa helped her to get up "We have gut feelings that something isn't right" Yuno said as he landed.

Trix laughed as she stood "I like your magic" she pointed the device at Yuno but Astrid pushes him aside! "Becareful that device sucking magics!" Yuno took a deep breath, Trix stood and was about to attack them "You're bleeding" Mimosa said, Astrid shook her head "Let me handle her" Her grimoire opened and armor of crystal Ice wrapped on her "Yuno...Mimosa...Thank you for coming now I have motivation to survive" She smirks, Yuno smiled "And we're not here as a display" Mimosa said and opened her grimoire too.

Since Trix was distracted with Yuno and Mimosa, Astrid was able to have a chance to attack and in blink of an eye, Astid was able to cut of her bangs she gasped and she saw how the end of her hair turned into crytal ice, she backed away and stare at Astrid while she's holding her cheek and her eyes are widened in surprise "Impossible" she said but after a while she laugh like crazy and sway her knife that released dark slash but the trio was able to dodge it, the saw how the trees that got hit by it got rotten easily "I already stole a lot of magic attributes haha I wonder which one would suits you! or perhaps...." Astrid was surprised when she got stabbed but she jumped away and charged her sword at Trix's face, Trix's cheek automatically froze and turn into crystal ice which Yuno attacked using his wind magic but Trix was able to slash her sword, the attack was heading to Mimosa.

Astrid shielded it but she got slashed om her shoulder, the wound slowly getting bigger "Wow wow! you can still move huh?" Trix's right cheek is bleeding and has a huge chunk missing "Ice magic creation: Snow soldiers!" Yuno helped Mimosa to get up because she fell to the ground after Astrid pushed her, Trix grinned wider and charged towards Astrid.

Astrid's soldier charge towards her but with one swiftly move she let out a huge ball "World on fire!" she laughed like crazy and throw it to Astrid, Yuno counter's it with his Wind magic together with Sylph's help, Astrid throw her sword and it's too late for Trix because she wasn't able to dodge it and it pierced through her heart, she smiled before she turned into Ice sculpture.
