Ivy woke up the next morning by various rings coming from the doorbell. She groaned and put a pillow on her face. She stayed almost up all night until around five in the morning when she finally felt asleep without even realizing. The doorbell kept ringing and she was getting annoyed, her head was pounding and she was really thirsty.
"I'm coming! Give me a second! Jeez.." said Ivy irritated.
She started to walk towards the front door and she finally opened it. What she saw left her surprised, it was the man and the little girl she saw last night. She was confused for sure.
"Uh? How can I help you?" Said Ivy looking at both of them.
Holy shit! She's gorgeous thought Holland looking at Ivy, he was mesmerized. In the distance she could hear Holly's voice but he was busy staring at Ivy with a goofy smile. But it was quickly interrupted.
"Dad! I'm talking to you!" Said Holly slapping his arm.
"Ow! Holly don't do that!" Said Holland rubbing his arm.
All Ivy could do was watch the funny interaction between father and daughter, she took some time to see the father, whose name was still a mystery to her. He was handsome she thought, tall, nice and a pretty smile. She also noticed a necklace around his neck that had a ring.
"I'm sorry! My name is Holland March and this is my daughter Holly!" Said Holland introducing themselves.
"We live on the house over there" said Holly pointing to the house she saw them yesterday.
"Nice to meet you both umm I'm Ivy, Ivy Campbell" said Ivy shaking Holland's still extended hand.
"Campbell!" Exclaimed Holly "You must be his daughter!"
Ivy stared at Holly with curious eyes.
"Yeah...I'm his daughter?" Said Ivy.
"What my daughter is trying to say is that is nice meeting Ethan's daughter" said Holland.
"Oh? You knew my dad?" Said Ivy leaning on the door frame.
"Yes! We were friendly neighbors" said Holland" I'm so sorry for your loss"
"Thank you I appreciate it" said Ivy smiling at him.
After that there was an awkward silence.
"So...are you going to live here now?" Asked Holly curious.
Holly thought Ivy looked like a cool person and wanted to know more about her. And Holland hoped she said yes, he really wanted to get to know her.
"I think so, at least for a while" said Ivy smiling at Holly "I don't mean to be rude or anything but is there anything else I can do for you guys...besides answering questions"
Holland laughed awkwardly, putting an arm around Holly.
"Pff no no! We just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood and tell you that if you ever need anything...sugar for example...um let us know" said Holland talking fast while making finger guns.
Ivy looked at him funny. what a strange man, she thought.
"Well thank you so much! I guess will keep seeing each other" said Ivy.
"We will?" Asked Holland a little too excited, thankfully only Holly noticed.
She rolled her eyes, she knew his dad wasn't the best around women he found attractive, he tended to act like a moron. But to be fair Ivy was really pretty, and Holly certainly wouldn't mind her dad going out with her.
"When is you fathers service?" Asked Holly trying to make a little more conversation.
"Actually..." said Ivy looking at her watch "It's at ten thirty, what you want to come?" Said Ivy smiling a little.
