────── july 2022, physical hundred

THE CONTESTS all started to walk in with the lowest ranks going first. The lower half were put on the lowest platform in the room. And as the other half began to walk in the were on the highest platform. Seoyeon was on the upper half of the top, looking down on the lower half wasn't a bad feeling or an unformailar.

They all clapped for Kim Min-Cheol who was ranked first out of all of them. Then the eye began to speak, "I will now reveal the first quest, with a fifty perscent survial rate is the one on one Death Match. "

"Ah." Seoyeon chuckled, "Half of us."

"For three minutes two contestants must fight to claim a ball. Only the one holding the ball in the last moment will survive. The Death Match will take place in one of two different arenas. However, the privilege of choosing both their and opponent and the arena is given to those who did well, from first place down."

Kim Min-Cheol was given the chance to pick his opponent and picked out of the top fifty.

As the rest began picking their opponents, she watched with amusement as Bbulkup went down and asked, "Out of all the people left who thinks there the strongest. Who's wants to fight me? Who thinks there hella tough, huh?"

Some laugh at him or were shocked by his boldness but Seoyeon was amused. "Ill take you on."

They all looked over at Seoyeon as she grinned, Bbulkup looked up and imdedelty knew he was in some deep shit. Seoeyeon had to pick carfull she didnt want to pick a girl, call her basis but she was rooting for all the girls to stay in as long as possable but she also didnt want to lose. She picked Bbulkup and knew it was going to be the easy way out.

She jumped down from the stand as Bbulkup shook her hand as he muttered, "Im screwed."

Seoyeon snickered as the stood infront of each other, "You want to see strong? Don't let the fact I'm a women make you underestimate me. Let's run it."

The other contested cheered, as Bbulkup nodded his hand with the same smirk.

After everyonw picked their oppients, they were brought to the place they would be fighting at. The arenas were just like the images the they showed them. One Arena was covered with dirt and had a ring on water in the middle and the next one slightly reminded Seoyeon of parkour with mutiple obstacles, "Arlight this is going to be way more fun than I imagined."

They only got through a few fights that day before it was time to leave set. By the time Seoyeon got home, she couldnt stop thinking about Sung-Bin. And the next evening, Seoyeon past back and forth in her apartment, Sung-Bin had told her that he was going to pick her up for their 'catch up'. She hugged herself and groaned, "Why am I nervous, I'm not some little kid."

Her dog playfully barked at her as she sat on the coach sulking. She lightened up as she hugged her dog, "Zeus could you believe that he didn't even tell me they were going even know how to dress for this."

Zeus barked back as if he could understand what she was saying. Seoyeon chuckled at that, she had two pets Zeus who was fawn doberman pincher with gorgeous golden eyes, and a kitten named Hestia who was a snow lynx, bengal cat with light blue eyes.

She decided to just wear a dark grey halter top and light wash wide leg jeans. She makes her way out of her apartment as Sung-Bin texted her telling her he was here. She spotted his car as he stood outside of it, he grinned.

"Hey, are you feeling good today?" He genuinely asked.

She nodded as her mouth curled into a bright smile, "I'm good, what about you?"

"I'm feeling even better now that your here." He spoke as he opened the door for her. She blushed muttering a thank you as she got inside the car.

As they drove off, Seoyeon asked, "So where are we going?"

He looked over to her, "You'll see."

They chatted the entire car ride, and the sun had began to set as they got into the city getting out of the car and walking. They arrived at this Night Cafe, that had a two hour wait list but Sung-Bin put them on the wait list from that morning so when they got there they didnt have to wait and went straight to their table. The Night Cafe had a comfy feeling towards it that Seoyeon loved.

"Where did you find this place?" Seoyeon asked looking around as the two sat down in front of each other.

"It was a suggestion."

The duo ordered their drinks first, Sung-Bin had ordered the same iced latte that Seoyeon had got. As Sung-Bin took a sip, Seoyeon noticed how nice he looked. He wore a white hoodie with matching knee length shorts, an expensive watch and his hair was how it always looked. "Seoyeon?"

She hummed as he chuckled as he fidgets with the watch on his wrist. "You're staring."

"How could I not stare, Sung-Bin." Seoyeon stated as a matter of fact. The moment felt perfect, the cherry on top being the jazz music playing in the background.

"Your one to talk, your just breathtaking. Youve always been." He uttered with a husky voice. They snap out of their trance once the waitress came to ask them for their order. They had a basic convestion up intell the point their food came.

Once Sung-Bin asked, "Why did you quit weightlifting?"

"Why did you quit Skeleton?" Seoyeon shot back before she could even think as she winced, "Sorry—"

"Its okay." Sung-Bin calmly responded as he realized he might have struck a nerve. "I quit because I felt like my time was over in the sport my one goal was to win gold at the Olympics and I did just that so I felt like that was enough for me, you know."

"Yeah, yeah I know." Seoyeon sighed, "It's just everyone kind of asks me that question. But it's just when you've done something your entire life and your so dedicated it gets to a point where you want nothing more than to just have a break."

He carefully listened nodding his head as Seoyeon counited, "Everyone just expected to be this Champion and make these lifts that people thought were impossible at my weight class, but you know I'm not going to be the same every four years. Like I'm never going to be able to make the lifts the I made back then. I wanted to quite from Rio but something in my heart just told me I could stay in a little bit longer."

"You want relax, live life. I get that."

The rest of the night they talked about anything that came to mind. And after leaving the Cafe they had went to a park. They sat on a bench looking up at the stars, Seoeyon was talking about somthing but all Sung-Bin could do was admire her, "Lets do this again, sometime."

Seoyeon beamed, "Of course, anytime."
