Strong but Weak

The First A

It was last period when my teacher said "You can have 10 minutes before the exam to review your notes and make sure you know all your stuff." My teacher said specifically looking at me while saying that.

Great 10 minutes worrying about failing. I started looking over my notes as did everyone and couldn't stop worrying. If I failed another test my mom would be so pissed.

"Ok class time to start you exams, put away your study guides and make sure to only have a pencil and eraser. If you are caught cheating that will mean you not only get detention but your automatic exam results will be a zero meaning you get and F."

Jeez no pressure there. All you have to do is get above a C just remember what Ethan taught you and you'll be fine...right?

It took 2 hours to finish but i finally finished and checked it over 3 times just to make sure I didn't make any stupid mistakes. I turned it in hoping for the best. The teacher in this class always grades the tests the day of so we get them right after.

At the end of class he handed all the tests back inside of a Manila envelope to give to our parents I was so tempted to open it but I knew my mom would scold me if I did.

After class I met up with Ethan to ask him if he could come to my house to open the envelope with me because he had been helping me so I thought it would only be fair.

"Hey! Ethan!" I shouted as he looked back and started walking towards me.

"Suppp. Whatcha want?"

"I had my exams today and I got the results.... I was wondering if you were free and if you would consider coming to my house to open it with me and my mom...."

He smile and said "Of course I would be honored your highness" he said in a sarcastic voice as he did a bow to me.

We walked home together and when we got to the house and I thought I dropped the folder while talking but to my surprise Ethan was holding it in his hand and lifted it up for me to see.

     " you did drop it I just picked it up after you dropped it. You're welcome." He said with a grin playing on his face.

"Thanks" I said reluctantly.

We walked up to the front door and I pulled out my shiny gold key and open the door to go in.

"Hey mom!!! I'm backkkkk!"

"Did you get your test results back yet?"

I waved the envelope in the air after taking it from him.

" why don't we all go to the living room to see what grade you got." She said in a sing song kind of way.

When we got to then couch I tore open the envelope and we all closed our eyes hoping for the best. I was the first to look and I screamed overcome with happiness and disbelief.

"I GOT AN A!!!!" I screamed. Getting off the couch showing them jumping and smiling ear to ear.
