Namjoon's POV
On the phone
Me- Ah! Yes Mr. Lee! Ofcourse! I'll let you know when the stats have an update. Please! I wish you a safe flight home! I really don't want to be the reason of your wife's anger on you!
Mr. Lee- Sure Mr. Kim! I hope both of our companies cooperate with each other! I'll hang up the phone.
Off the phone
As soon as the he hung up the phone, I was starting to wish the same would happen to me. I looked out of the window, taking in the beauty of the view until I was disturbed by my secretary's phone call.
On the phone
Me- Yes, what is it now, Margaret?
Margaret- Sir your 9 A.M. meeting is about to start in 20 minutes. I suggest you have your breakfast before it.
Me- Thanks Margaret.
Off the phone
I smirk as soon as I hit the hang up button on the telephone.
This is gonna be a piece of cake
My thoughts were interrupted by a knocking on my cabin. The door opened slightly revealing my member with his boxy smile.
"Margaret told me that you were going for breakfast so I thought I could join you. I can right?" He said looking down at the blue lunchbox in his hands.
"Eating Seokjin's homemade breakfast with my member? How can I say no to that?!" I said in a jolly tone.
~~~
"So, how's work?" he asked. A suspenseful silence filled the aura of the cabin.
"I don't know..." I hesitated. "There are four new recruits joining today." from what he stated made my mind freeze resulting my chopsticks to fall on to the bowl of cabbage kimchi.
The cabin yet again, was filled with an awkward silence. The past few days have been rough due to the events that occurred. Neither of the members are able to breathe in peace. The Choi Clan has prepared some moles to 'join' our companies and leak our confidential information. The boys are constantly paranoid because this information had costed us our most trustworthy informer.
FLASHBACK
*Gunshots* *Gunshots* I NEED BACKUP! I REPEAT! I NEED BAC- *Gunshot*. Well, well, well! Guess who it is? THE GRE-
"FUUUUCK!" Jimin threw the phone across the phone, causing it to shatter into million piece."I'M GONNA KILL THAT BASTARD!" he punched the table until Jungkook calm him down. "W-we lo-ost Nik-ki...." He stuttered, angry tears rolling continuously down his cheeks.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Jimin's been having a tough time." his sentence got me out of the flashback trance. As soon as I processed his statement, a deep sigh left my dry throat. The sigh containing despair and tiredness due to countless attempts of convincing Jimin to eat.
Few knocks echoed the cabin, revealing a smiley Margaret. "Your meeting is about to start sir." she informed, while Taehyung had a frown on his face. "We'll talk later." I said, ruffling his hair and getting ready for the meeting.
~~~~~
"So gentlemen! I hope there's isn't any doubts on your mind?" I said fake-smiling.
Gosh, my face hurts.
"Yes, I do." Mr. Hwang. "Yes?" I asked. "What would you do if the clients or should I say us? Are disappointed with your service." His questions are always a pain in the ass.
"Well, if that's the case then I guess I wouldn't be a CEO. Am I right?" I gave him a sarcastic answer since I knew he just loves to get on my nerves. "I think it's time we call it a meeting." I said, waiting until everyone dispersed from the room.
~~~~~~
An eerie silence filled up the conference room. The soundproof walls helping in muting every existence of sounds outside the room.
I leaned back at my chair, massaging the bridge of my nose. Those disturbing thoughts never seem to leave my head.
"Hey boss!" a familiar voice echoed the through the cabin, diverting my mind from those thoughts. "You okay?" the casualness in that voice will be pretty surprising for anyone at my level, but not me.
Soobin. Choi Soobin. The one outsider who knows me without actually knowing me. When he first joined the company, he would be the first and the last to be in the company. He was only 19-years-old when he was a rookie. A graduate from the Harvard university, having small experiences in small businesses. He still was a respectful, humble employee. Though sometimes he can really concern me. Knowing my favourite choices in food, beverages, interior etc. is something even I would not know much about. He was really good at body language. Both practicing and reading. He really has helped me through many small meetings. His habit of overworking is something that really gets my boat. I sometimes found him sleeping in the company. It's really hard to read him. What he potrays is not what he is feeling inside. He's a bubbly yet mysterious man.
"Yeah I'm jus-" I was soon cut off by his, "Uh-uh-uh! No excuses! Attending a meeting with aggravating clients, that too early in the morning! Come on let's go have some coffee." he definitely sounded like an uncle. "It's only 9:57 A.M. how is it early in the morn-" yet again, I was cut off by his service. His service being, dragging me out of my chair and to the cafeteria.
Gosh, this kid.
~~~~~
I was busy talking to Soobin when my phone went off. It received the very message I was waiting for since breakfast with Taehyung.
They're here.
"I gotta go. Please inform Margaret to cancel everything that is on my schedule. I have some work to complete." I gritted my teeth when ending that sentence. Grabbing my coffee and coat, I rushed to the security room.
