Y/N's POV
"You have stolen my heart. Oh yeah!" I was humming my car playlist when I saw my GPS re-route my destination to a short cut. "Let's go!" I cheered since I knew I would reach there way before my time given to me. I changed the song to Mommae by Jay Park. I follow the route given to me when I suddenly saw something from the corner of my eye. "What the fu-?" I mumbled when I saw what exactly it was. I rolled down my window and yelled, "Yah! What the fuck are you doing?!". My eyes widened when I saw them pull out guns and point towards me.
WHAT THE FUCK?!
My thought's were interrupted when I suddenly got a voice call on my phone. I connected it to my car and answered it.
"EOMMA!" I chuckled hearing my son's voice. "YOSHI!" I said, returning the same amount of happiness in my voice. "When are you going to be home? I miss you!" He said, emphasizing the 'miss'. "I think I should be home around lunch time if the interview goes well, baby." I said, keeping my eyes on the road as well as on the rear view mirror.
I don't want any trouble. Whatever the fuck that was, I don't want it around my kid.
"Okay! Best of luck, eomma!" He wished as I pulled up to the enormous building. "Thank you baby! Go eat your snacks and don't trouble Lisa unnie, okay?" I said. "Okay! Bye!" His voice got cut as he hung up the call.
"ID?" The security asked. I looked at his badge for a name but found a Z+ security badge number. "I'm here for an interview." I replied. "I don't care. Give me an ID." He stated.
Oh! attitude on the first day? Let me get your ass mister.
I smirked when I saw his facial expression change as soon as he was shown the ID.
"You're m-most welcome, Ma'am! You can have your entry!" He stuttered, bowing downing dramatically whilst handing me my card back. "I hope that'll teach you a lesson." I said before droving off with a smirk on my face.

"Hello! How may I help you?" the receptionist asked. "I'm here for the interview. Bae Y/N?" I replied, handing the interview form I was told to fill before hand. "Oh! Yeah! You have an interview in......" She said as she checked her desktop to find any information when she added, "10:00 A.M. Wow! You're early.". "I know, I just don't like to be late." I replied in a friendly manner, shrugging my shoulders. "I think our boss is going to love you! You're like 90% everything he likes!" She informed. "What about the other 10%?" I asked, curious why I lacked the 10% atleast. "Don't be offended but you have a family right?" She asked. "Well, I'm a single mother with money. So no family." I corrected her assumption of me having a family. "Oh that's bad!" she cringed at my statement. "Why?" I asked, clearly offended by the answer she gave. "I told you not to get offended! His recent secretary was fired because she had a baby few weeks ago. He doesn't want someone who is insufficient. He talked to her about it. She found it difficult to keep up with such job. I hope same doesn't happen to you." She explained. "Oh, Okay." I agreed with her statement.
Afterall, this job is all about consistency.

I waited for about another half an hour until I saw employees finally walk in. I noticed how the receptionist greeted everyone in a unique way. Finger guns, high-fives, fist-bumps, asking how's their family is etc. She does know everyone very well.
I looked around a bit until I saw a glass wall which had all the awards ever won by the company. The awards every company has envied them for. The awards that lead to many downfalls of other companies. The awards that started rivalries.
I walked over to a bookshelf and looked for something that I found readable at the moment.
I saw a shelf named Written By Kim Namjoon.
A particular book caught my eye and my hand grasped onto it for dear life.
I started reading it until I heard the receptionist call my name. "Ms. Bae? Your interview is about to start. Jisoo lead you to the cabin." She said, calling someone of the telephone to lead me. "She will be here in a minute. Please have a seat." She requested.
"Hello! I'm looking for Ms. Bae?" A sweet girl asked to some people sitting near me. "Yeah that's me." I said, catching her attention and giving her a hand shake. "This way." She pointed towards a hallway before walking forward me.
I followed her until we stopped infront of a elevator. As soon as we step in, she goes, "He's a little observant so please maintain your character. Try to create a fake personality when you step in this building. Keep smiling and keep your head up." She randomly informed. Before I could ask any questions, she said, "This is it. You'll find a cabin with a tinted black glass door and a golden handle. Good luck and fighting!" She said, giving me the information and a thumbs-up.
Her smile is adorable.
I step out of the elevator and give her a 90 degree bow. I turned around and started looking for a 'cabin with a tinted black glass door and a golden handle'. I saw a broad hallway with 5 people sitting on burgundy couches. I saw the cabin with a tinted black glass door and a golden handle. "Is this for the interview?" I asked. Some of them nodded 'yes'. I sit down next to one of them.
I shuffle through my bag when the man I sat next to asked, "New rookie?". "I wish. I'm here for my interview." I chuckled. "What you got there?" He said, eyeing the book I picked earlier in my hand. "Oh, this?" I said, waving it. "You have a good eye." He said as he read the cover page.
"A Mafia's Journey." I said with a smile.
