Chapter 6: Case: USJ

At first, Izuku was worried, but then he was mad. Aziawa and Uraraka are hurt, they are in the hospital because the Villains attacked the USJ. and since he is Quirkless he can't even go visit them.

He wants to scream, to yell, and punch. But he knows that's not going to be productive. But he can do something that is.

Izuku calls Midnight on the phone he uses as L saying "Hello Midnight, this is L. I'm sure you know why I'm calling."

UA:

The symbol lit up the staff room the evening of the USJ attack, the L on a white background harsh against the lowering sun.

L said with a disguised voice "thank you for allowing me to assist with this investigation."

Nezu bared his teeth "your welcome L, I was hoping we could work together soon, but not under these...circumstances."

L responded "Indeed,also Power Loader, thank you for checking the USJ sensors for me, it is good to know that they still recorded but were unable to transmit."

Power Loader shrugged "your welcome L."

Midnight asked " so L what do you think?"

L exhaled before saying "either these guys are morons, or killing All Might, in spite of what they claim was not the goal."

A skinny blond guy coughed up some Blood as L explained "they knew All Might and a small group of teachers will be there and isolated, but they decided to recruit a large group of low tier villains as their attack plan? Little trust and even less coordination."

L mumbled "if they wanted to kill All Might they could have and should have just teleported in a bomb, it blows the USJ, the Teachers, the Students all of it Straight to the Hot Place, ideally killing but at the very last weakening All Might to be followed up by the Nomu, job done quick easy untraceable."

Nezu added "but they didn't."

L agreed "but they didn't, which means either they didn't think about that when they planned this attack or they had another goal in mind, the Combat Commander has been described as Childish and impulsive. It is unlikely he planned this mission or was able to convince the villains low level or not to follow him, most villains said they were hired through a front, I looked into it and it is naturally no longer active."

L paused "they all opted to not say anything when captured, well almost all of them, when Villain demanded protection from "the one who takes." a prequirk Urban Legend about someone who can steal/give Quirks. The Villain in question does have a history of paranoid delusions, so a grain of salt. But advancing on the premise that some kind of ancient Super Villain is responsible for the attacks, we come to the conclusion that this lacklustre plan was the result of Hubris."

Present Mic asked "but if it's not this Ancient Evil."

L answered "then it is likely that they had some other Goal in mind with this attack, frankly killing All Might would be bad for both criminals and normal citizens, while some short sighted Criminals would be very happy to see the symbol of Peace dead, most career or skilled criminals, which one would have to be to plan this mission. Would see the chaos in Japan and the world for it would be. Bad for business."

L mumbled "so short of simply causing Chaos what other motive could someone have to attack the USJ but not UA proper, to make it seem like an attack but not follow through? Discrediting UA? A rival school? No, that's insane...sending a message? No one is safe? possibly , but why not use a bomb? Getting someone's attention? The entire world is watching UA now? But who's? Nezu? All Might?"

L Trailed off typing filled the air as he hummed "well now that's interesting."

Nezu asked "L?"

L explained "Nezu did you read the paper on the generation of Artificial wormholes? It was published not long before the first appearance of Quirks."
