Meera walked into her matrimonial home, her heart pounding in her chest, her skin tight with fear. She had gone to her maternal home to tie her Rakhi, but had come back far worse than she had been before. Her skin had been burned and her emotions tortured, all for the crime of wanting to be able to express her love for her siblings. She had no choice but to head to her room and pull out the compact, trying her best to mask her wounds under the thick makeup.
Yuvaan stared at Meera as she walked past him. Even though she had covered her face in powder, he could sense that something was wrong. He had been feeling strange around Meera since she had been away and now, it was like whatever happened to her had put this mysterious veil between them.
He quickly reached out and grabbed her arm, his voice a bit gentler than usual as he tried to see through the thick makeup on her face. 'Meera, please tell me,' he said slowly. 'I want to help you.'
Meera shook her head, her voice a soft whisper as she replied. 'I can't. Not yet.'
Yuvaan bit his lip and nodded, his heart beating rapidly. 'Okay,' he said, trying to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat. 'But if you ever need to talk, I'm here. I can help you if you give me the chance.'
Meera slowly smiled at him, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. 'I know. I will,' she said, and even though it was hard for her to say, she was thankful he had offered to help.
But they both knew that Yuvaan had not been completely trusting of Meera ever since she had been away. Even though he wanted to help her, he still had his doubts. He wished he could trust her as always, but for now he would just have to wait and see.
It was then that Meera realized that even though Yuvaan's exterior was sometimes rough, his core was pure and gentle, and that maybe they could work out these issues together. She would just have to be brave and tell him the truth.
Hi. I am Meera, Yuvaan's wife. This is my side of the story. I got to know Yuvaan through headlines on the newspaper. We were introduced at a party by my parents as they always wanted a rich son-in-law so that they can be on newspaper headlines news well let's leave my parents Yuvaan was the life of the party. He was always the centre of attention. He was always surrounded by girls. I don't know why, but something about him caught my attention. It was not his dashing looks. It was not his sense of humour. It was the way he carried himself. It was his confidence. He was so arrogant, that it was cute. I loved the way he looked. His dark brown eyes, his long black hair, his broad shoulders, his perfect body. And when he looked at me, his eyes made me feel like I was the only one who mattered. And when he smiled, his lips looked so delicious, I wanted to kiss him.
He was so cold and distant. And yet, he was so gentle and loving to his mother and family .He was always there when they needed him. He always knew how to make themsmile. He was always there to listen to them. And then, I fell in love. I never expected it, but I did. When the marriage proposal came I could not believe that he was actually mine. That I was the one who was lucky enough to have him. He was everything that I ever wanted I love him. And I will always love him. No matter what happens, no matter what we go through, no matter what challenges we face, I will always love him.
I will always love you, Yuvaan.
