chapter thirty eight: Doubt sets in

The next day, Dom woke up with his eyes very red after crying all night. He looked himself in the mirror and tried his best to cover up the redness. Once he got himself together, Dom wasn't worried about facing everyone. He didn't want the others to know what he found out about Finn. Dominik started to worry about what Rhea and Damien thought of him. When he pulled himself together, Dom made his way downstairs. He could hear everyone laughing and talking in the kitchen. Dominik took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen. Everyone stopped talking and turned their attention to Dom. They all smiled at him. He slightly smiled back at all and sat down at the table. Finn was cooking breakfast for everyone. Rhea and Damien were at the table with Dom and continued to talk.

"Dom, how did you sleep last night," Damien asked.

"I slept ok," Dom smiled.

"That's good, and the champ needs a good rest after a long, hard night," Rhea said.

"Yeah," Dominik smiled softly.

Finn finished up making breakfast and let everyone know that it was done. Once they all got their breakfast, Dom was still not himself after everything that happened last night.

"Hey Dom, are you ready for the best celebration of your life," Finn smiled

Dom nodded his head to show that he was happy and didn't want the others to know how he was feeling. Finn was the only one who didn't have a title or a briefcase. He wasn't carrying anything like the rest of them. Did Finn have some kind of jealousy towards them? Or was it just towards Dominik? The judgment day was like a family. Rhea is the mother of the group. While Damien was the older brother, Finn, the middle child, and Dom, the youngest/favorite. They truly were a family, but at the same time, there was some tension between them. No one knew what was going to happen next. Dom was worried that his judgment day family was going to leave him like he did with his real family. Dominik had no choice but to make up with his real family before it was too late. While they were eating, Finn's wife Vero came down. Finn got up and greeted his wife. Dom wondered if she was here the whole time while he was reading Finn's book. He prayed that she was asleep and didn't know that he was reading everything that Finn wrote about him. Dom had so many questions running through his head. He can't couldn't snap out of it. His thoughts consumed him, and he couldn't stop thinking about everything he read last night. Dom was going to go crazy if he didn't excuse himself from the table.

"He Dom is everything ok," Rhea asked.

"Dom,"

"Dom,"

"DOM,"

"DOMINIK,"

Once Rhea screamed his name, Dom was finally back in reality. His thoughts were starting to slow down. He could finally calm down and think again.

"You ok," Rhea asked again.

"Yeah, and I'm fine,"

"Are you sure because you won't really listen?"

"I'm sorry, and I was just lost in my thoughts,"

"Ok, and if you need anything, let us know. Right Finn and Damien,"

"Right,"

"Yep, and we are here when you need us,"

Dom felt a little at ease, but at the same time, he didn't. He couldn't tell if they were being truthful or not. Finn got a phone call from Hailey. He excused himself from the table to take the call.

Finn pov

Once I saw that Hailey was calling, I didn't know if it was bad or good. I went upstairs and answered the call.
"Hey and what is up,"
"Is the plan still going into effect,"
"Of course, and we are meeting at the same place as before,"
"Got it, and the others don't know too,"
"They won't and this just between the two of this,"
"Got it, and I will see you this weekend then,"
"Yeah and you too,"
I hung up the phone with Hailey and smiled. I heard a knock on the door, and I said, "Come in." I noticed that Vero walked in. I smiled at her while she closed the door behind her.
"Was that Hailey on the phone,"
"Yes,"
"I assume that the others don't know about this,"
"Yeah and hey, they don't know anything about me training Hailey,"
"You got a point,"
"Yeah,"
"So what is the plan for this weekend with her,"
"We are going to talk about everything with the judgment day,"
"Ok and you too have fun,"
I smiled at her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. I went back downstairs, but I had to act like nothing happened on the phone call. I noticed that everyone moved to the living room. I walked back to the kitchen and started to clean up. I realized that my journal wasn't in the kitchen. I thought maybe Vero moved and didn't tell me. I walked back upstairs to see if it was somewhere up here. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find it anywhere.
Dom Pov
I noticed that Finn was panicking about something. I started to think that maybe he knew I read through his journal. After some time, Finn seemed at peace on whatever he was looking for. My nerves started to calm down because I don't want the others or Finn to know what I just read. I know I have to get back to my home and make up with my family about everything. I just need to make the right decision before it is too late. Finn sat down in the living room by damien. I know today is the day I'm meant to celebrate with them, but deep down, I want to run away, and I can't just keep acting like everything is fine when it's not. I hate that Finn thought about me like that. I mean, the one year anniversary of me joining was coming up soon. The only thing I could think about is that I don't show up to Monday night Raw next week. I will go to smackdown on friday, then I will disappear just like Finn did, but this time it is going to be longer than what he did. I need to get out and make up with my family. I just need to get to Friday and pretend that everything is fine. I let my thoughts go to rest while I listened to what the plan was for the day. No pov
Rhea told everyone what the plan was for the day. They would go to dinner that night to celebrate, but in the meantime, they would hang out and do whatever Dom wanted to do. They all nodded their heads before turning back to the tv. Dom went on social media to see what everyone had posted about his win with the belt. He couldn't help but smile at the video of Hailey that her mom took of her. For once, everyone was actually happy for him besides some people who left hate comments. He kinda felt better after everything that happened last night. He turned off his phone and swift his attention back to the Tv.As some time passed on, it was already dinner time. Dom got dressed for the dinner since they were going to a nice restaurant. He took deep breaths and calmed himself before heading out of the guest bedroom. He went downstairs and then headed out to the restaurant. Damien was driving, Finn in the passenger seat with Dom and Rhea in the back seat. Dominik thought about the dream he had, that one dream where it is just like this when Hailey was in the hospital. He tried to push those thoughts deep away. Dom wanted to enjoy this dinner. He wanted to take his mind off of everything, Dom just wanted to have a good time before he went away. They finally arrived at the restaurant, Dom put his arm out for Rhea while Finn and Damien led the way. They checked in and got walked to their table. The table was away from everyone else. It was peaceful where they were sitting. Finn sat next to Damien while Dom was in the middle of Damien and Rhea. They talked for a little while as they waited for their food to come. As their food comes and is placed down in front of them, the power goes out, and Dom jumps while grabbing tight on Rhea's arm.
"Sorry about that, ladies and gentlemen, we have lost power due to a bad storm," the owner addresses
Everyone nodded as candles were being lit on tables. Dom let go of Rhea's arm and calmed himself down. Dominik could feel the gaze of Finn, but he couldn't tell if it was good or bad. Finally, the candles on their table were lit, and Dom was met with Finn. His face wasn't angry but happy, which put Dom at ease. They started to eat and talk.
"When besides the power going out, how is everyone's meal," Rhea asked.
"Good," Finn and Damien said.
"Very good," Dom smiled.
"Don't you have a say in this with your dang chicken tenders," Rhea said, rolling her eyes.
"Yeah Dom, you and tenders can go," Damien laughed.
Finn and Rhea laughed alongside Damien. Dominik couldn't help but laugh as well. Once dinner was done, they headed back to Finn's house. Dom didn't feel anything, He felt wrong for leaving them, but he couldn't help it. Dom wanted to be alone and make up to his real family. Next week on raw, Dom didn't show up. Damien, Rhea, and Finn were left with questions. For sure, he wasn't injured. Did Rey do something since he was going to be on the show tonight? Dom pulled up to his family house. He noticed that there were no cars but still went up to the door. He knocked on the door before pulling out his key to the house. Dom started to get hit with memories of him and rhea being here for Thanksgiving. He didn't know how his family would do or say, and that's what scared him.

Sorry for almost the month part from the last chapter and this one. I was still dealing with death, Bray Wyatt, and processing everything, but we are back chapters now.
