chapter thirty nine: second thoughts

After he knocked on the door, there was no answer. He tried again, but there was no answer. Dom grabbed out his key and opened the door.
"Hello," Echoed through the house.
He waited a minute before saying anything else.
"Is anyone home,"
Still nothing, but he noticed that the house was a mess. Dom made his way to his old room. He opened the door and got hit with all of the emotions. He could help but cry a little bit. He was the one to join the judgment day. He was the one who betrayed his father. He was the one to be blamed. He even started to doubt if he was ready to hold on to gold. Everyone was right, He needed to go to NXT. Dom felt his phone buzz. He looked at it to see it was Rhea calling. He picked.
"Dom, where are you,"
Dom didn't say anything and tried to think of an excuse really quickly.
"I'm home,"
"What do you mean you are at your home,"
"I'm sick right now and couldn't come in tonight,"
"Oh, and that makes us feel a little bit better,"
"What do you mean,"
"Well, your dad was here, and we thought he did something to you,"
"Oh no, and I'm just sick right now. I should be back next week,"
"Ok, and I will tell the others,"
Rhea and Dom finished up talking on the phone. Once their phone call was done, He stopped pretending to be sick. He went out of his room and started cleaning up the place. He knew he had to be fast since his family could be home any minute now. While Dom was cleaning up one thing, he hit into something that set off an alarm. Dom covered his ears, He could hear police sirens down the street. He ran out the back door and kept on running till his legs gave out. Thankful Dom still had everything besides his car. He sat down on the curb to think about everything. He had to go back to get his car. Dom put his hands on his head before getting up again. He had a long walk to get back to his house. Meanwhile, Finn was starting to hint that something was wrong with Dom and that it wasn't really sick. Damien and Rhea brought it, but Finn didn't. He knew that something was wrong with Dom but couldn't put his finger on it. He had to worry about fighting Rey and LWO, He had to put Dom a side for right now until after the match.

"Hey Finn, are you ready for the match," Damien asked

"Yes, and I'm ready to fight," Finn said.

"We are going to take down LWO together for Dom," Rhea smiled.

"Yeah, we are," Damien said.

"We should probably get going now," Finn suggested.

Damien and Rhea nodded their heads. The three of them headed towards the entrance, but something seemed off with Rey when the Judgment day walked past him.. They had no time to worry about him. The judgment day had bigger worries but had one thing, which was to beat the LWO. They were standing at the entrance waiting for the music to start playing. The three of them walked to the ring and did their moves, but Dom not being there felt weird. This was the first time that Judgment Day didn’t get boo in a while. They waited for LWO to make it to the ring. Once they did, Dominik theme started to play, but there was no sign of him. Everyone was confused, but his theme cut out to a weird message. The words something happened flash on the screen before going back to normal. Rhea, Damien, and Finn looked at each other before facing back towards the LWO. The bell rang, and the fight began. Dominik got up from the curb and started walking towards his home. It was going to be a long walk, but he hoped that the police had left by then. Rhea was fighting Zelina. The judgment day was on top during this match. There was one thing on the back of her mind: was her Dom Dom ok, or was he in trouble? Rhea tagged in Finn to fight Rey. Finn had a weird feeling deep, but he couldn’t put his finger to it. Damien, on the other hand, was getting worried about Dom. A lot of thoughts started playing throughout their heads. They somehow end up pushing them aside and end up winning the match. Once they were backstage, they needed to find and check in on Dom to make sure he was ok and that nothing happened to him.
