Janelle Stevens walked into her new school feeling nauseated with nerves. She had just moved to Louisville Kentucky. She got to her locker and made it through homeroom and 1st period now she was headed to her second period.
She finally found the English classroom, and found her seat. As she was waiting for class to start someone sat down beside her.
She looked up, and saw a pair of blue eyes. "Hi darlin, I'm Bucky." He said
"Hi, I'm Janelle but most people call me Elle." She said
"Nice to meet you. You must be new.." he said
"Yeah we just moved here.." she said
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you Elle. I'll show you around if you want me too. Do you play sports I play football." He said
"I play volleyball and basketball." She said
He smiled at her, "I could tell you weren't the cheerleader type." He said as their teacher walked in.
Their teacher informed them that who they were sitting with was their project partner for the class and study buddy. Bucky was excited, and let Elle know after class. She spent the rest of the day with him by her side. She even ate lunch with him and met the crew.
After school they learned they were neighbors, she had moved in across the street from him.
