demi stared at the phone for a few minutes, debating on if she should call jude or not. after a bit, she picked it up and dialed the girls number, waiting for it to start ringing.
"hello, who is this?" a familiar voice asked through the other side of the line.
"erm, hey! it's me, demi, from the store?" she said, messing with the cord.
"oh hey! what's up?" jude asked, sounding happy to hear demi.
"oh nothing, adam asked me to go to his, horovitz, and mike's gig tonight, and i was wondering if you were going?" demi said, shifting between feet.
"yeah, i'll be there. want me to come over?" jude asked.
"oh, sure! i'll give you my address?" demi asked.
jude and demi figured out a time for her to go over to demi's apartment, and she gave her the address. jude seemed really excited to spend time with demi before the gig and was over in about half an hour after they ended the call.
demi heard knocking on the door, and opened it. jude smiled and came inside, beaming down at demi.
"hey girl!" jude said excitedly, grabbing demi's hand.
"oh hey, come on let's go to my room. i need help picking out an outfit." demi said sheepishly, leading jude to her room.
jude stood in front of demi's closet and thought for a bit. after a while, she pulled out a black lacey tank top and tossed it towards demi, then walked over to the dresser and pulled out jean shorts fishnet leggings.
"put these on, okay? and do you have combat boots?" jude asked, looking around the room.
"oh, uh, okay. and yeah, i do, don't worry." demi chuckled and pushed jude out of her room. she changed into the outfit jude chose and looked in her mirror. "hey, you can come back in now!" she called out, putting on her combat boots.
"god damn girl, you look great! thanks to me, of course," jude said in a cocky tone, but it was obvious she was messing around."but anyways, makeup."
demi began to protest, but jude sat her on her bed and started doing demi's makeup. she didn't do a whole lot, just some smudged eyeliner and mascara. jude also fixed demi's short, messy hair. she managed to do two messy french braids.
"and there you have it, ladies and gentlemen, the hottest of them all, demi!" jude said in a dramatic way and did jazz hands. she was clearly happy about what she did.
"why, thank you, my dear!" demi laughed, smiling at jude. jude gave her thumbs up in response.
"you ready?" jude asked, holding out her hand.
"of course, let's go." demi said, standing up and taking judes hand. the two of them left and started walking to where the gig was.
"oh, i want to tell you beforehand, but the boys, their music isn't like, appropriate, or like, yknow?" jude said slowly, looking at demi. "they also pretty much act like frat boys, but don't worry, it's all an act.. well, horovitz, that's a different story."
"yeah, adam gave me a small heads up, but he didn't mention drinking and shit." demi said, shrugging. what could she have expected? jude nodded, and continued rambling on about how the boys acted and then she made her way into talking about her pets.
after a few more minutes, the two girls made their way to the bar and got their passes. they stood near the stage, where they saw the first band moving all their stuff off the stage and adam, horovitz, and mike started moving their stuff on.
horovitz was the first to spot the girls, he smiled and waved at them and then pointed them out to mike, who also waved. the girls waved back, and jude gave them a thumbs up.
