Rory positioned herself on the other side of the room, engaged in conversation with a girl whom Rory clearly recognized had an interest in her. She made an effort to actively listen and comprehend the girl's words, but she found it impossible to do so.
Her eyes uncontrollably looked over towards Victoria, who was sitting at a table with her group of friends, laughing. And by the way Victoria smiled and lifted her head up, Rory knew that Victoria knew she was watching her.
A groan was let out from Rory's lips before she turned back over to the girl that was sitting in front of her. Even Jess had seemed bored with the girl in front of them and Jess of all people wasn't the type to think like that.
When the bell rung, Rory was the first one up. She excused herself from the table before walking out of the lunchroom.
Victoria looked over at Rory before excusing herself from her friends and running over to her as she followed behind Rory. Sensing Victoria's presence, Rory turned down the hallway and made her way to her locker with a groan leaving her lips.
"What do you want, Victoria?" Rory asked, stopping at her locker.
"I saw you talking to one of the girl's on my cheer team. I hope you know that you don't have a chance." Victoria said,
After taking out her books and closing her locker, Rory turned towards Victoria. As she observed a few students passing by, she nervously chewed on her bottom lip.
"What's the point of you being here? I have people to talk to that's actually interested in talking to me." Rory said, pushing past Victoria.
With a frustrated groan leaving from her mouth, Victoria pulled her arm as she turned her back around. Rory looked around as she tried to see if anyone was around.
"Why do you have to be so difficult?"
"Why do you have to be so selfish? You want to use me for my body and now that I won't allow it, you're around here chasing me." Rory said,
"Chasing you?" Victoria said, laughing. "I don't chase anyone."
Rory rolled her eyes before walking past Victoria and walking to her next period class. From there she caught up to Jess.
A part of her was feeling bad for agreeing to be Victoria's fuck buddy and then leaving her like that. It felt messed up, even for Rory.
As she turned down the hallway, Jess started going into detail about her wanting to ask out Angelina. And even if Rory knew that Angelina had a boyfriend, she still saw Jess and her had some type of connection, and she honestly thought they would make a good couple.
"Maybe I can get her to see me for who I am, I don't know." Jess said as they entered into their classroom.
"I don't think the Windsors are a good fit for being good girlfriends anyway, but if you want me to set you two up then I can set you up." Rory said,
Jess hummed before her eyes shot up to see the Windsors walking into the classroom, side by side. Jess smiled at Angeline as she smiled back at her.
Victoria looked between the two before scrunching her nose in disgust. She then walked over to sit at the table across from Jess and Rory's table as she looked over and smiled at the girl that was sitting next to her.
Rory realized that Victoria was trying to make her jealous and she couldn't help but to feel a little bit jealous, that was supposed to be her, but Victoria didn't want her. Not the way that Rory wanted her.
She quickly turned away as the teacher spoke up, starting to give out assigned groups for projects.
As soon as Rory caught her name, she raised her head and soon after, she heard that both of the Windsor twins were assigned to her group. Instantly, a frown appeared on her face and she let out a groan. She had no desire to be paired up with Victoria, finding it truly unjust that the teacher didn't give her the opportunity to work with Jess and another unknown student instead.
