"No Silas" I told him shaking my head.
"I can swear that I heard you telling Emma that you pay a lot for the apartment" he said, closing his eyes and looking at me.
I'm starting to hate him because of his rude behavior.
"It's okay with that" I tried to say it with a serious face.
"Are you sure, because you really know-" I cut him off.
"That I can really leave this house?" Silas I know that, but I have nowhere to go, do you understand that? I gave you all my salary because your father thought he would pay two times in a monts and not all together." I told him angrily and in a raised tone of voice, "nobody charges people for a one-room apartment, two thousand dollars," I said.
"I told you that you can leave if you don't like something" He blinked with a smile om his face.
I could feel the anger rising in me, I wanted to knock out his chattering white teeth. But I can not.
"Did you at least listen to what I told you?" I asked him angrily.
"Yes, you have nowhere to go, but I don't care, and you understand that," he replied angrily.
"If you need me to clear the room just tell me don't keep cutting me, I didn't do anything to you Silas" I said knowing that if he asked that I would be homeless.
The next day: Ellery_I watched as Emma prepared to go to the club, putting each dress on her body. I put on a simple pair of black jeans and a white t-shirt, with high heels. And she dresses up like it's a holiday.
"How about this?" She asked, turning to me with her blue dress close to her body.
"Light pink suited you better" I answered her, smiling.
"Okay, this time I'll take your advice," she replied with a laugh, "how about the money? The house?" she asked.
"Very hard" I answered her with a smile and started to play with my fingers trying to divert my mind somewhere far away, "If Silas kicks me out, could I come live with you sometime?" I asked her with a small smile.
"Of course, but he won't do it" She answered quickly, putting on her shoes.
"How do you know?" I asked her with a frown and got up from my seat.
"He certainly wouldn't throw a person out on the street"
She answered, shaking her head.
"He told to my face that he doesn't care about it" I answered her, throwing my handbag over my shoulder."I've known him a for a long time, Ellery, he wouldn't do that, and it doesn't matter what he says" she said seriously, putting on her coat.
After leaving her apartment, we went down to the first floor. As soon as we got into the taxi, Emma told the driver the address of the club, and the driver started driving towards that place.
I preferred to lie in bed and continue creating my own architecture projects rather then go clubbing.
When we got inside the club, a loud noise filled my ears, music I don't like either. I looked at all the people sitting, and my eyes stopped at the bar, right there. Silas stood at the bar with Liam.
"I need a drink" I said aloud to Emma,
facing her at the bar, but on the complete opposite side of Silas.Silas_
"Im drinking whiskey, as i watched Ellery with
Emma, she already take five glasses of vodka.
Looks like someone wants to get drunk today.
I wet my lips, still not taking my eyes off
Ellery. I know I treated her badly, but...
the papers were arranged by my lawyer, and if he is
done, it means it has to be like that."Is it Emma there?" Liam asked me.
"Shit, she looks better than ever" he said looking at the girl.
"Calm down boy" I told him with a laugh.
Surprisingly, Liam hasn't taken his eyes off Emma for a long time. And it's really strange, because when Kate left him, he didn't even want to have a new relationship.
"And with her, your "roommate"" he said with a chuckle. "I heard that she's having a problem with money, you ask a lot of money from her, even though you don't pay that much yourself" Liam said.
"How do you know everything?" I asked him with a frown and finished my whiskey.
"Emma told me," he replied, also finishing his whiskey.
Ellery drank two more shots of vodka and then looked at me. She looked into my eyes for a few seconds, but she was forced to break our eye contact as Emma began to lead her into the dance room.
"That Emma tells you a lot, yes?" I asked my friend, looking at him.
"Enough" Liam answered quickly.
"Do you need her just to tell you all the gossip going around?" I asked him."I really like her Silas, she's different than—" Liam trailed off, looking down at his empty glass.
"Then Kate" I finished his sentence for him.
"Yes" He muttered quietly, "She's a bitch" He said angrily, looking up at the bartender.
Liam's hate filled for Kate is really big. It's the first time I've seen a guy can hate his life love like that. Although I don't really know how I would feel if someone would do this to me.
"Two more glasses of the same" Liam told the bartender who just nodded.
I looked again at Ellery, who was dancing with Emma. They were laughing so hard at something, Ellery turned to me, bending her legs weakly as if she was falling, I felt my heart flutter for a moment and for a second I wanted to get up and run to her, but then she started laughing even more. She looked at me briefly, smiling her sweet smile, and then started dancing with some guy.
"Oh my god" I said out loud and suddenly got up from my seat and went to the girls.
The guy was about to put his hands on her, but I stopped him and pulled Ellery into my arms, hugging her lightly around her waist.
"Emma, Liam will stay with you, I need to take this little alcoholic back home" I asked the girl standing in front of me, who nodded her head in confusion.Silas_
I was standing in the kitchen drinking coffee and looking at the documents for the apartment. I asked my lawyer to redo them because I negotiated with Ellery for a thousand dollars, which means I lied to her by writing a completely different amount on the documents.
I ran my free hand over my face to wake up more. I looked up from the papers and as soon as Ellery walked in through the kitchen door she stopped when she saw me gave a small smile. I adore her simplicity in front of me.
"Good morning" She said walking towards the fridge.
"Hello" I said, watching her pour orange juice into a glass, "did you just wake up?" I asked her.
"no" she replied with a laugh, "it's been a long time"
With a smile on her face she answered.
"Then what have you been doing all this time?" I asked her with furrowed brows. "I was preparing the documents that your father will need when he comes back from Australia," she replied with a smile.
Does she work at home? This is the first time I've heard of this. Who can work on their days off?"Why do you work when you have a day off?" I asked her, frowning even more.
"Well first I need money" she replied with an awkward smile, "and don't think I'll complain" she quickly added.
I didn't like her tone when she added the last sentence, but I didn't say anything, just waited for her to continue talking.
"And secondly, if I hadn't taken them home, your father wouldn't have given me free days."
She said quickly, taking a drink of her juice.
"Got it" I said looking at her "have you had breakfast yet?" I asked her as I walked towards the fridge.
"No, I don't want to" She said in a somewhat strange tone.
Confused, I turned to her, she was just standing leaning against the wall, near the exit, and was looking somewhere else, but not at me. She is lying to me, I give one hundred percent.
"How can you not want to eat in the morning when you've been up for a long time?" I asked her with a frown, taking milk from the fridge.
"I just don't want to and that's all, it's a special diet," she answered with a small smile, "I'm going to continue working, and you'll have a delicious breakfast," she said."Are you lying to me?" I asked her as she was about to leave, "and don't even think of lying to me because I'll understand right away" I told her with a smile and grabbed two plates from the cupboards.
"It's just" She paused, lowering her eyes and I looked at her, "I'm sorry, I haven't bought food in about two weeks, I ate a lot of food you bought me last week, and now I just thought at the beginning of this week that it's time to lose a few kilograms , I've put on a littlw weight" she answered with an awkward laugh.
"So you haven't eaten all week?" I asked her in a somewhat angry tone of voice.
"Well yesterday i was drinking vodka" she said with a laugh but when I glared at her she frowned "if it counts " she said with an awkward laugh.
That explains why she got drunk so quickly yesterday.
Ellery was drinking on completely empty stomach. Now I feel even worse, after I asked her for so much money, she doesn't even have anything to buy food while I'm bathing in money. Liam is right, I really am selfish.
"Sit, you will eat" I told her.
"No need, water will be enough for me," she answered with a smile and quickly disappeared behind the door of her room.
I shook my head and took the contract, I went to her room. I can't believe how stubborn she is.Ellery_
I drank some water, sitting on the bed.
I put a glass of water on the cupboard next to the bed and looked at the computer screen. I suddenly looked up when Silas came through the door of my room and dropped the contract on the bed. I felt my heart shake as I thought that these were the documents showing that he wanted me to leave the house.
"What's this?" I asked him quietly, taking those documents.
After reading the very beginning, I frowned, looking up at Silas. He must be joking.
"Are you serious?" I asked him and I didn't know if I should laugh or cry.
"Since theoretically I lied to you, your money that you gave me will be returned" He answered quickly.
