Jungkook is standing on the stage for the last five minutes waiting for the love of his life.
He can't believe he has already known Jimin for more than 11 years now. He still can't believe they are getting married. He still can't fucking believe that his best friend of 5 years and boyfriend of 6 years has finally agreed to marry him. All of this is so fucking unbelievable. He is a lucky bastard, he knows!
''Hyung, do I look okay?"
Namjoon sighs for the umpteenth time, "Yes, Jungkook, for the hundredth time, you look handsome. Jimin is gonna be in shock when he sees you?"
"Yeah? What about my hair, huh? Does it loo.."
"Yeah, yeah! Your hair looks okay. Your mouth doesn't smell. You don't look that nervous. You suit is perfect. Your shoes look clean. Anything else, Jeon Jungkook?"
Jungkook laughs sheepishly, "Nothing else. For now at least!"
Namjoon turns to Jin, "Save me from your cousin brother, will you?"
Seokjin slaps Jungkook's back lightly and scolds him, "Stop this, Jungkook! Be careful or I will viral all your embarrassing photos!"
"Hyung, it's my wedding day today!" Jungkook whines.
"So what? Just shut up for a while."
"I will try."
Minutes later, Jungkook can again feel those twisted knots in his stomach and he can't just think straight.
"Hyung, why isn't Minnie coming yet? He told me he is almost ready a few moments ago. Did something happen? Omg! Don't tell me Yoongi hyung managed to convince him to run away and I am going to end up alone. Oh no! Should I m...."
Jin glares at him and is almost tempted to twist his ears to give him a good scolding, "Jeon fucking Jungkook, don't create a scene now. And for fuck's sake, stop panicking. Listen, our coconut head hasn't managed to scare him off in these past years. So he won't just run away on your wedding day. He is too much of an angel to do so!"
"I know hyu..."
"Just shut up! I don't know how Jimin tolerates your fucking annoying ass. Joonie, can you fan me, baby?"
Namjoon fans him, looking endeared, "Is it okay now, hyung?"
"Hmm, you are the best!"
"Fucking gross!"
Jungkook takes a deeo breath and tries to remember the speech he has prepared beforehand. He is in the middle of remembering when he is granted the most beautiful and breathtaking sight of his evening.
Park Jimin, in his bright white suit, is walking down the aisle with his grumpy brother. He has an intoxicating smile on his face.
Jungkook can hear gasps. He doesn't know if it is his own or the audiences'.
What he knows is that he finds himself lost in those dark chocolaty eyes that stares back at him with the same intensity.
And that's enough to send Jungkook in a familiar frenzy mind-set. It is enough to blend the noises and sounds into the background. It is so easy to forget that they are not the only ones present enough. It is easy to forget the speech he had prepared.
Suddenly it feels so familiar. It's like they are back in that small cozy bedroom of Jimin. Where they could forget everything so easily, where the walls were witnesses of their love, where the creak of the bed spoke of the secrets they shared together, where they wrote their own love story.
