Ambivalence

There is something in the air. There has to be to something which makes their faces a little redder than usual. They both know it but have never brought it up yet.

Jimin rests his head on Jungkook's shoulder and sighs, "Gosh, I love this song so much!"

"Of course you do!"

"Remember when it was first released, you didn't like it even a little."

Jungkook snickers, "Who told you that I like it now, huh? The only reason I listen to it cause you love this weird, cliché song."

Jimin giggles, "Well, Jungkookie! There is a lot of ways to say that you love me too much to deny me anything! You don't need to be so rude."

Jungkook clicks his tongue and slips a quiet 'Whatever' but doesn't deny or agree with him. And this is enough to create knots in Jimin's belly. These butterflies are way too much, doesn't listen to Jimin at all.

"Jungkook-ah!"

"Hmmm...."

"Have you read the Chemistry note I gave you last week?"

Jungkook looks bored to death, "Which one?"

Jimin rolls his eyes, "4th chapter, you idiot!"

"Maybe yeah!"

Jimin raises his head while removing his earphone and then stares hard, "Yeah? Then tell me the correct order of the ionization energy of N and O!"

Jungkook gives him a tight smile, "Umm, I know it. I have read it I swear! It's... ummm... well.. Yeahh! I remember. It is Oxygen that has more ionization energy! "

Jimin gives him a sweet smile that is even sweeter than cotten candy, "Yeah, you sure, Jeon?"

Jungkook also smiles thinking he survived this time and internally pats himself on his back, "Yeah! I am totally sure!"

Jimin sighs for the umpteenth time, "Jeon Jungkook-shi, why do you think so?"

Jungkook knows how to take a hint and awkwardly mutters, "Cause ionization energy increases from left to right across the periodic table?"

Jimin raises his eyebrows, "Are you asking me or telling me?"

"Telling you, I guess?"

Jimin deadpans, "Jungkook!"

"Okay, okay! I am kinda sure. I swear I read it yesterday."

"Well then I am sorry to inform you, your highness, you are fucking wrong!"

Jungkook furrows his eyebrows and grumbles, "How the fuck am I wrong again!? Is the rule wrong, Minnie?"

"No, but N and O do not follow this rules. They are exception! I literally wrote this in a box and highlighted it in my notes. How did you miss it?" Jimin sounds exasperated.

Jungkook cries, "Another fucking exception! For fuck's sake, don't make it a a fucking rule if it has so many fucking exceptions. I don't understand why the fuck people like this fucking boring subject. It doesn't make a single sense. It should be a fucking exception already!"

"Are you done?"

Jungkook pouts, "Darling, you don't love me anymore. I am so sad, Minnie."

Jimin gives a big fat fake smile, "Stop with your acting. Seriously Jungkook, final exams are knocking at the door. At this rate, if you fail in the exam,they won't let you sit in the college entrance exams. Then what will you even do with your sports scholarship? You gotta be more serious. You did not even attend the last Chemistry class test. And you did not even go t....."
