   I stare at her!

   She stares at me!

   I stare at her!

   She stares at me!

   I stare at her!

Our game of hide and seek continues.

"So, up early today are we." She says." What's the motivation?"

I ignore her. Finally loosing, by breaking eye contact and continue to devour my cereals.

In truth, I was curious. He said something yesterday that got me wondering.

     'See you at school.'

What did he mean by that?

I'm pretty sure even an ignorant person like me would've noticed him at school.

I try hard not to think much of it. Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me.

"Done." I say after forcing down every bit of cereal into my mouth and dashing into the kitchen.

   "Ooo somebody's hasty today."

I ignore her shady comment. Katie is always energetic during the morning.

I wash my mouth and make my way out of the house.

One of Katie's ground rules; always finish breakfast. I couldn't escape it. Therefore I choose to live with it.

I walk along the sidewalk, listening to rain drop sounds through my earpods.

I don't hate people you know, how can I hate my own breed? I'm one of them. So naturally, I won't.

I smell my familiar scent of mist again.

Oh how I love the rainy season.

Not too long had I  found my peace that I lost it.

   "Nia!"

   I hate that name!

   "Nia!"

I turn, ready to plaster that smile of mine to my face.

"Anaya!" I smile as she runs to catch up to me.

   Humans are really stupid!

   "How are you?"

"I'm good." I say, as we both walk together to school.

   "Yesterday's picnic was cool huh?"

   "Yeah, sure."

Anaya chuckles and sighs. "Yeah, I had a blast. I hope we can do it again soon."

I watch her behaviour for some time. Trying to tell if her smile was real.

She was pretty basic when it came to beauty. Brown eyes, dark hair, light skin, not too shabby around the figure. Let's just say, she could get one or two boys her way.

"You know Nia," She gazes at me. "You're really beautiful."

   Yeah, no kidding.

Just because I didn't hate humans didn't mean I was like them. I was a different breed. You know, like that black sheep in a herd of white ones. That was me.
