Why is the plot changing!?

Chapter - 10

As he got up while caressing his jaw I stepped back a bit. I hate to admit it but judging by his stature he'd clearly win if we both were to fight. But... what now?. He started walking towards me calmly. For some reason, it made me panic. I took a step back each time he took a step forward. Soon enough my back hit the wall. I turned around and saw the window. I wasn't able to look out the window since I was chained across the other side of the room. 

Great with this I can get an idea of where I am. If it's not that high I could even jump down. I looked out the window. A tingly sensation whirled in my stomach, It was about 15 floors high. Is that even possible? In the novel mansions were about 3 floors and the highest building was the magicians tower which was 6 floors high. Was this building mentioned in the novel..? I was lost in though but then I snapped out of it. I saw Noah about 5 steps away from me, he was holding chains with both his hands. It was obvious what would happen to me if I get caught. I sat on the edge of the window. "Stop right there! or I will jump!" I threatened him.

Noah froze, he grinned as he put the chains on the floor. Of course he knew I was bluffing. I wouldn't actually threaten him with my life. He continued to walk towards me and soon enough he was right in front of me. He reached out his hand and out of reflex I shifted backwards. As I lost my balance I fell down. He panicked as he tried to grab my hand and save me. However it was too late I had slipped out of his grasp. I felt a tingling sensation throughout my body. it kind of felt ticklish. I screamed as I shut my eyes and grew closer and closer towards the ground. Was this the end? What would happen if I died in the novel? Will I ever get another chance? Or will I be dead for good?

I shut me eyes, I wasn't ready to see my death. I didn't want to die like this. I squeezed my fists shut tightly to try and calm myself. As soon as I was about to hit the ground I felt a force push me up. Gold dazzling light was surrounding me, it was so dazzling that I could barely see anything. I was levitating a few meters above the ground. After a few seconds whatever force was making me levitate slowly disappeared and I safely landed on the ground. The light was also gone. Golden light.... it could only mean one thing.. divine power. Was it Noah? I looked up to see him. He wasn't there, he was obviously coming down to get me. I quickly hid behind the bushes at some distance.

Soon enough Noah came, he was panting climbing down 15 floors isn't easy. He looked around for me. "Strange there is no blood" he muttered to himself. Wait... he thought I died? That means he didn't use his divine powers to save me.. but if not him then who did. Could it be.. mine? I highly doubt that. Emma was powerless she was part of the 90 percent population without any abilities. I am not even sure if it was divine power that saved me because divine power is supposed to heal people not levitate them somehow. Noah continued to search for my "body" he obviously wanted to heal me. If I was dead then healing me wont do any good. I guess he still has hope that I am somehow alive so he can heal me. That... was pitiful.

I crawled away from my hiding spot in the forest. After some time when I couldn't see Noah anymore I stood up and started walking. It had to be divine power.. the golden light is clearly evidence. But since Noah wasn't the one who used it then it must have been me. Emma has divine powers? since when? this was never mentioned in the novel. Wait... is this why Noah called me goddess? because I have a lot of divine power? Am I related to the temple somehow?. This is so confusing. The whole novel has turned into a hot mess. I am not sure if I can use the information I knew from the novel to my advantage anymore. Why isn't the novel sticking to it story line!?. I clenched my hair in frustration and shut me eyes tight. 

"You will hurt yourself like that"

I looked up "Alexander?"

"For the last time its ALEX sweetheart"
