A while

It has been a while, hasn't it?
Lost amongst the crowd, in the hustle and bustle;
The silent voice seldom gets loud,
Expectations of 'morrow rise again - oh the tussle.

It has been a while, it seems so...
and the questions? Oh don't even utter a word,
Every moment filled with another and another;
The way it flawlessly spills my blood.

Stumble and fall and do it again,
Back we go - how many times will this occur;
How long should I wait? Should I even?
Nostalgia again, now is it? I mutter

Sleepless nights, had once been, my regulars,
And my dreams seemed to have stains;
To avoid mirages, I'd wish for nightmares,
"What might have beens" have always been my feigns

With people you know turning to strangers,
And feeling at constant unease;
Where will you head and wander again,
Aimlessly floating in the chilly breeze.

It has been a while, hasn't it?
I've caught myself thinking out loud;
Oh how much I wish to bleed on this paper,
Oh how I wish, the words could be found.
