I'm don't typically wear a dress, it's not that I don't like wearing dresses, I do. It's just that the prep that goes along with is hard work curling and styling hair when I normally just bung it up. The makeup which always seems to make me look like a panda because I don't tend to wear it every day. And the shoes, normally I wear trainers or flat ankle high boots. Today I hobbling around in a pair of black heels about an Inch high it was like walking on cocktail sticks. I finished by putting in some dangly silver earrings and checked my phone. Sure enough there was a message from Sophie We're waiting outside c'mon hurry up JI smiled grabbed up my handbag and keys opened the door to my room and hobbled down the stairs. Sure enough there they were standing in front of jacks blue mini cooper.

"Umm... I'm not sure a mini cooper can carry six people?" I asked confused. Jack just shrugged

"Eden's on Grace's lap." He replied and sure enough Grace was in the back with Eden on her lap Grace had mid-length brown curly hair often hidden by her trademark beanie and a complexion that matched Sophie's in fact sophie used to trick her boyfriend into believing they were sisters I don't think he knows to this day. Eden was a petite girl with short red hair (verging on orange). I waved and smiled then turned to jack.

"Still as reckless as ever."

"It's only a couple of streets away, we'll be fine." He replied as I climbed into the back with Sophie Eden and Grace. They hadn't changed much Jack was still a daredevil Sophie was still as vulgar as ever Grace and Eden still bickered like an old married couple and Reece was still as aggressive. We talked all the way, about university life and work (in Eden's case) Jack Sophie and Reece were all at king's college studying Medicine biomedical science and Biology at Kings while Eden was apprenticing at one of the country's leading game designers and grace had taken acting also at kings. (Me and Eden were probably the only people who didn't go to kings.)

We also talked about our old classmates and teachers apparently the queen of pointless homework had finally been fired...a year after we had to sit through her hellishly boring lessons and complete her tedious, pointless homework tasks. Seriously she once asked us to find three examples of the rule of three and mind you we were doing A levels not G.C.S.E.

Harlow came up as well apparently the douchebagery directed at her did not end after Sixth form. University had been even tougher, apparently she accidently blew up the universities lab and was kicked out. Oh and according to Jack, Lizzie and Annie had finally came out of the closet and had declared their love for each other it was apparently quite sweet and all that.

So when we arrived at the school I was pretty sure there would be no awkward encounters, that I wouldn't say anything stupid. But well for me that's nearly impossible.

The party was in the schools main hall there was a band playing at the far end up on the stage chairs were pulled to the side next to tables lined with food and drink. People were dancing in the centre of the room while others mingled with old friends and teachers. It wasn't spectacular but then again Fort Roberts had always been sub-par. Laptops that never worked, mini buses that were a health and safety nightmare not to mention the odd appearance of rats, mice, woodlice and all creatures of the like. I was actually surprised there was food.

We mingled for a while chatting with our old acquaintances I congratulated Lizzie and Annie on their courage while keeping a wide berth from the likes of Jordan and his cronies.

There was a few people missing Eden's old boyfriend was nowhere to be seen an you could clearly see the disappointment on her face. The terrible twosome were also nowhere to be seen and neither was Harlow.

I approached the buffet, If you can call it that it was mostly cocktail sausages, crisps and cupcakes, party food.

"Still Alone?" I looked up and saw the face of Jordan Waller tall with short blonde hair with a face you just want to punch and a drool that just pisses you of.

"Fuck off..." I said sharply as I strode away towards the other side of the hall trying to get as far away from this slime ball as possible.

"Real polite that is...real polite." He replied trailing after me

"Jordan I doubt will get this now scince you never got it when we were actually at school together. I-Don't-Like-You, you're a Jerk, insufferably cocky oh and you breath smells of whatever you had to eat earlier, smells allot like pizza." I said whirling around

"Jeez, I just wanted to say hi" he said with another cocky smile.

"Well you said it now bye." I replied with a huff

"C'mon not even a how are you doing?" he called after me, I replied by sticking up my middle finger.

I approached the rest of the group, grace and Sophie were up dancing While Jack, Eden and Reece were congregating around the drinks bar.

"Well this is...fun." I said sarcastically while the others nodded in agreement.

"There's a pub up the road, I think they still do karaoke." Said Eden nodding towards the door, I smiled and nodded.

"You know I don't sing, but maybe if I drink enough...who knows." The others smiled and finished of their drinks while I went to collect grace and sophie judging by Sophie's...tremendous dancing she didn't need any liquid courage for karaoke and neither did grace.

"C'mon guys how about some karaoke." I said while leading them towards the door.

"K...Kareoke...YEAH...WOOO Shake...Shake it off." I smiled again, Sophie was always the funniest drunk as we walked through the door with Sophie continuing to sing an out of tune version of Shake it off. I shot a look at the others who were trying there hardest not to piss themselves laughing.
