What's the difference between vengeance and Justice, are they two clean cut ideas, completely separate of each other or are they intertwined conjoined where one cannot exist without the other.

I do not know if what I plan to do is justice or vengeance all I know is that it is what I have to do. I have a reckoning to deliver, a reckoning three years in the making. No more hovering on the side-lines, no more listening, I'm done being quiet. They made my life miserable made this school into my own little slice of hell and it's time they see it as well.

I hold my vengeance in my hand a needle filled with a pale blue nectar. I've Chosen my target tall and blond with yellowed teeth and drool that haunts my dreams to this day. He laughed at me, mocked me, and knocked me down. He was mine now, my new friends they have their own demons to destroy but he was mine.

I walk up behind him, he doesn't even notice me as I shadow him across to the buffet. I plunge the needle into his abdomen the effects are fast he stumbles back and his pupils dilate. I wait for the hallucinations to start but he just stares into nothing. One of his cronies, they tap him on the shoulder and call his name, he turns slowly a visceral growl rips from his throat they step back but he charges pinning one to the ground his teeth sinks into the boys flesh before he lunges at another. This isn't right...they weren't supposed to be like...monsters. Others began to turn, in minutes the hall had erupted into violence.

Coke, why coke, just one Bulmer's surely I can get away with just one pint. I sighed again and continued sipping on my boring coke enviously looking at the array of colourful drinks arranged behind the bar. Should've left driving to Erica or Sophie or I shouldn't have wasted those units on the cheap wine back at the school.

"Hey that's your school isn't it?" asked the old barman glancing up at the TV. I sighed and looked, sure enough a helicopter was circling above my old school I couldn't quite make out what was being said but being my school it was probably nothing good. Some Asshole probably had a little too much of that cheap alcohol and landed a fist in someone's face.

"Sadly yes, that pile of crap was my school and they can't even throw a reunion without someone throwing a punch." I said toying with my drink a little more. The barman scoffed

"Not just one, apparently the whole schools gone loopy punching kicking screaming the lot, it's like they all turned in rabid animals."

"They always were."

I turned back to the TV where the reporter was now talking

"Reports are coming in of riots breaking out all over the county schools pubs offices everywhere. People are becoming aggressive and unresponsive coupled with near superhuman strength and resilience. Whatever caused these outbreaks is spreading and spreading fast..." I let the words sink in for a while, people were going mad attacking anyone in their sights, near impossible to stop. I smiled to myself, all those talks all those plans we made, we never thought they would actually be needed. I downed the rest of my drink nodded to the barman and made my way towards the rest of my friends Sophie was out of it snoring loudly with her head on the table Erica and Eden were locked in discussion while Reece was busy flirting with anything that moved and Grace was happily singing her own rendition of Shake it Off by Taylor Swift.

I took in a deep breath and shouted into Sophie's ear "Bitches! Get up...! It's Happened!" she stirred slowly and opened her eyes.

"Hey some-of-us are trying to sleep you know!" she replied groggily. I just smiled and gestured for Reece and Grace to join us I puffed out my chest and started in my best announcer voice.

"It's happening people, just saw it on the news, people acting crazy, attacking anything that moves. And not just that they're also freaky strong and hard to stop. It's here people...the motherfucking Zompocalypse." They looked blankly at me while taking in the news Eden was the first to react almost screaming with excitement.

"They called us nerds, they called us weird, guess who's laughing now Bitches." She chanted with a manic glint in her eyes "I have some supplies in my truck and I believe our "Stash" should still be where we hid it, not to mention our plans as well." I smiled and raised my glass.

"Here's to the end of the world, may we all survive it." We were so young then, so naïve.
