It had been a strangely warm evening in the foresty west. The tall canopy of pine trees finally breaking some small beams of moonlight onto the mossy floor of the large woods. It seemed like the trees almost never ended.
Y/N was walking through the woods, having freshly just robbed a nearby town. They groaned to themselves, keeping their patchy sewn bag on their back full of valuable possessions.
They trudged through the woods, ignoring the twigs snapping around them and thinking it was just their own footsteps since they could barely see anything. Well, besides the skinny beams of moonlight through the trees.
As Y/N continued to walk, the snapping twigs got louder. And that's when it finally snapped into their mind they might not be alone, causing them to quicken their pace.
They hurried through the trees, anxious that someone had spotted the nefarious thief robbing the town. They ran, trying to avoid every bush and branch they could, but ending up with a few thorns in their sides (hehe see what i did there?) and a few twigs in their hair.
Panicking, they tripped, hitting their head on a rock, and dropping their backpack, watching it slide across the mossy forest floor. Then, loud trudging footsteps could be heard in front of them, a tall, large figure in front of them and picking up their bag before the dizziness from the rock got to their head (another pun lol) and everything went dark.
The shuffling of fabric was heard before Y/N fell unconscious.
