The Pride Lands... where the birds sing and the flowers bloom... cubs, kits, and calves get to play together freely. Where the grass is nutritious and fresh and the zebra calves gallop playfully. This is Kali's home.
She was a white lion cub, a small one in fact. She never was good in hunting, but she is good in chasing the prey long enough for it to get tired and the other lions to kill it. Today Kali's mother Elisa is giving birth to her. Her father Matthew is trying to help Elisa.
Matthew: Shhh Elisa calm down. Shhhhh ....
Elisa: ARGH!
Matthew: it's halfway out Elisa you're doing great!
Elisa: ARGGH!!
The white lioness came out and Elisa was panting
Matthew: Elisa you did it! A fine female lioness!
Elisa fainted
Matthew: Elisa?
Matthew got angry at the newborn when he realized that it killed Elisa. But then he calmed down and decided that he should keep the newborn.
Matthew: Your name will be Kali. Welcome to the world!
Kali: mew mew! Mew!!
Matthew: You need milk... but I cannot produce. I must find a new mother for you after I rid you and me of this body.
Matthew got Elisa out of the cave and asked lionesses if they wanted to be his mate. Soon he met a lioness named Emma and she accepted to be his mate. Then Emma was nursing Kali.
Matthew: Thank you very much Emma.
Emma: Think nothing of it Matthew.
