I'm currently packing my bag for the first day of school today. We all had our class schedules sent to us as soon as we all awoke. I have potions with Professor Snape, who is also our head of house as Persephone has kindly informed me.
I skipped breakfast. I know. Crappy thing to do especially on a first day, but nerves make me anxious, which makes me sick so...
I pop an anti-anxiety pill onto my tongue-
"What's that? God don't tell me your a stoner Viv." She groans.
I laugh and shake my head.
"Just a little something to calm my nerves. Muggle related." I smile and raise my eyebrows.
"Ah, that makes sense. Wait-have you seen my wand anywhere?"
I point to her dressing table and she springs up off her bed.
"You ready? We have 10 minutes to get there. Better to be early than late, I mean, it's Snape's class after all." She rolls her eyes.
"I haven't met him, is he nice?" I ask, which I soon learn to be a mistake.
"Fuck. No. Guy doesn't even know the meaning of fun, OR being nice. Complete and total ass he is. Hope you don't like potions as he is totally going to make you feel the opposite towards it."
"Great because I actually really do like potions." I sigh.
She makes a "😐" and we walk out the door.
"So what subjects are you taking for N.E.W.T.S this year?"
"Um-I fiddle with the key and manage to lock our door. Potions, obviously. Transfiguration, history of magic, charms and defence against the dark arts."
"Bloody hell you must be smart. How did you manage all those?"
"My father forwarded on any progress I made to the head master during my time at home when he taught me. *I chuckle nervously* I love learning, all that stuff, so it's no bother really. What about you?"
"Clearly not a bother and I'm taking potions, charms and Herbology."
