Henry stared at the robot laid on the table, the relief you felt seeing William doing as you told was absolutely blissful.

"How did you find this thing and why does it... Smell? "

"It smells? I... I'm sorry I didn't notice. " Henry glanced at you with pity. "I'm sorry. "

"It's alright, I know your allergies are pretty bad in spring. " He grinned fakely, trying to make you feel better. You frowned.

You shuffled over and touched the robots arm, feeling the soft fluff. You beamed with joy over your new work -- well, under all of your exhaustion and crusted makeup.

"He was just kinda here, I think. I patched him up and tried to clean out most of the stains. I also replaced his voice box and... V'olla! "

Henry looked at it, disgusted.

"What's wrong...? "

"Nothing, Y/N. I just... I don't know how it got here, I purposely tried to destroy it. "

"W-why?? " You gasped, taken back by him and the fact he of all people would ruin a perfectly good robot. It hurt. "Henry, that's terrible. You could've taken the parts at least. "

"This place was built overtop of the old diner, I suppose a wall gave out and it showed itself. " He hummed. "I have bad memories with it, Y/N, I hope you understand. You know it wasn't easy with the two last diners like it is now. " Henry frowned at you and you understood, nodding carefully.

He stepped over to you and grabbed your arm.

"If you like the animatronic so much, do what you will with it, I love seeing you happy. But please keep it out of my sight and far away from the diner. " He softly said, leaning down and nudging your forehead with his. "It's old, don't cut your self like you did with Freddy. "

You nodded, looking up, meeting his eyes. You felt your face burn red hot and every inch of your body jerk and twitch at the same time. He was too close, his lips a pale pink, his brown eyes looking deeply into yours.

"Yes, I'll be careful. " You muffled let out, swallowing hard.

Henry nodded and stepped away.

He went towards the door, letting you know the next shift for the weekend was coming in soon and if you wanted to avoid conversation, it would be best to leave.

You agreed and Henry kindly lended you his trailer off his truck, helping you even attach it to your car before you were left alone to drag the bunny out the door.

You did it, but only because Henry left to speak with the new shifter who arrived while you were both setting up the hitch to the trailer. They were far away... So you demanded William carry himself to the car.

Once he was settled and hidden under a tarp, you yelled a bye into the diner and left.

You've never driven with a trailer before... So hopefully you don't break it.

When you were home, you almost stumbled inside before realizing you were forgetting the big toy left on the wooden trailer attached to your vehicle.

You sighed when you remembered and grumpily walked over to the right side of the trailer, peaking into view the half covered robot.

"Wakey wakey eggs and bakey, " You grumbled. He didn't budge. "William? We're home... Get up. " You nudged his arm, but mostly just dragged your hand across his limb. He was too heavy to technically 'nudge'.

But still, there was no movement.

You jumped up and kicked him, seeing no budge.

"Hey! I'm tired you old stinky-rinky-dinky robot! " You growled. But, he seemed practically dead. You frowned... Feeling... Crazy. Did you imagine it all? A sleep deprived trip? Maybe you're dreaming, even now...

You grabbed your hand, ready to pinch for proof, but you were stopped seconds before.

"It's so bright out, Jesus Christ, am I dead? " A raspy voice groaned. You sighed, relieved.

"Did you take a nap? Get up. " You said, letting out a deep exhale of annoyance. "I'm tired." You muttered.

The thing sat up, gears clicking. It was pleasant as they no longer moaned and hissed with every move he made, nor did every gear and lock cry out. It was smooth, each twist and step was fluid and you could see it in his movements. The sounds worked like the twisting of a can opener. You were proud of your work.

The tall metal bunny looked around at the empty parking lot, turning in the trailer to see your rented out space. Not a shitty apartment but it's not a house.

It's... Sad.

But home.

Williams big metal feet dragged on the wooden floor of the two wheeled ride you both sat on, the tarp making loud hollow crunches as he smashed it's material with movement.

"Won't you give me a tour? " He said, as if to smirk after, but you only saw the cold mask of the animatronic and the odd emotion that poured from his eyes.

You hummed a no and got up, looking around before realizing... Who cares if someone sees a bunny walking? You can say you rigged it and shove him into your basement. No biggie.

You lead him to your white and grey front door, the walls a rather fancy dark brick. All the houses were nice, small, but nice. Your keys jingled loudly before you were freed to your humble abode.

"Get comfy, " You softly said, closing the door behind your new... Roommate. You set your bag down by the door and flung your keys down beside it on the wooden cabinet sat right beside the front door, making a loud thump and clunk.

"This isn't as bad as I thought, Y/N." you cringed hearing your name from the thing.

"Thanks? I didn't realize you had an eye for anything decorative." You mumbled, leading into the kitchen for a snack. The robot followed, banging his head on the large open doorframe as he entered to be with you.

"Well I decorated two diners, I'd hope I'd know a thing or two. " He scoffed, looking around. "Not like it was hard, kids find anything colorful to be fun. " He snarkily said, awfully annoyed.

"Oh... Keep talking. Tell me more, William. Do you know Henry by chance or are you younger or... Older? "

It was quiet.

You got quiet. You got really quiet. The robot stared so emptily, so coldly, it's eyes glared at you somehow. You were kind of... Scared.

"Will-? " You called. He quickly walked over and you gasped, his large fur covered hand grabbing your arm firmly.

"I will not speak with you about any of my past. My past is past. Leave it. Am I clear? " He growled, sounding through gritted teeth. You cringed watching the animatronic spout such hurtful, threatening things, especially since it wasn't scary anymore... Just kind of cute. Or was... Until it got angry.

But you nodded, and swiftly.

He growled before pulling away.

You felt... Horrified.
