The next day, Ava woke up feeling exhausted and disappointed by the unsettling dreams. To make matters worse, she realized she had a fever. As she stumbled out of bed, Emma greeted her with a cup of coffee and a cheerful "Good morning!" Concerned, Emma asked Ava if she was alright. Ava shook her head and admitted, "No, I'm feeling a bit dizzy." Emma reassured her and suggested that the coffee might help. Ava took a sip, feeling the warmth spread through her body, and decided to freshen up. Emma, being the caring friend she is, made breakfast for Ava and advised her to rest instead of going to college. "You need to take care of yourself, Ava," Emma said. "I'll handle things for today."
Ava's heart swelled with gratitude for having such a caring friend like Emma by her side. Despite feeling unwell, Emma's support meant the world to her. However, Ava couldn't shake off the determination to unravel the mystery that plagued her dreams. She firmly declared, "No, Emma, we can't skip college. We have to face this together." Inspired by Ava's courage, Emma agreed and they both got ready for college.

As Ava and Emma arrived at college, they were met with the sight of their fellow students engrossed in studying for an upcoming test. Emma's face fell in realization, "Oh no... we completely forgot about the test!" Ava's heart sank as well, feeling a wave of regret wash over her. "Noooo, now what? I wish I had stayed at home," she exclaimed. Trying to find a solution, Emma reassured her, "It's okay, Ava. We can talk to our homeroom teacher, Miss Jeff, about it. Maybe she'll allow us to take the test after some preparation time, maybe tomorrow." Ava's anxiety began to ease as she realized there might be a way to make things right. With a glimmer of hope in her eyes, she nodded and said, "You're right, Emma. Let's talk to Miss Jeff and see if she can help us. We'll make up for it, I'm sure."
Ava and Emma approached Miss Jeff, their kind-hearted teacher, with a mix of nervousness and hope. Miss Jeff, perceptive as she was, could sense their distress and knew about Alex's disappearance. She gently advised them, "I understand that you want to find out where Alex is, but it's important to also focus on your college studies. Don't let the mystery affect your academic progress, girls." Ava nodded appreciatively, her eyes filled with gratitude, and replied, "Okay, teacher. Thank you for understanding." Emma silently nodded in agreement, feeling reassured by Miss Jeff's words. Miss Jeff continued, "You can use this time to study for the test. I'll administer it in the evening. And don't worry about Alex, we'll find him." With a renewed sense of determination, Ava and Emma set aside their worries momentarily and began to prepare for the upcoming test.

Ava looked at Emma, her eyes filled with concern. "But Emma, don't you find it strange? No one else seems to remember Alex, not even our classmates. It's like he never existed. And Miss Jeff... she just knows everything," Ava said, her voice trailing off. Emma stared at her friend for a moment before gently poking her. "Are you mad, Ava? Miss Jeff is helping us, and you're doubting her. Remember, we asked her to check Alex's records, so she remembers him because of that," Emma explained, trying to reassure Ava. Ava sighed and continued, "I know, but it's just... different. We still remember Alex because I dream about him and talk to you about him. But Miss Jeff..." Ava's voice faded as she struggled to find the right words. Emma listened attentively, trying to understand Ava's concerns. "
I understand what you're saying, Ava. But let's give Miss Jeff the benefit of the doubt. She's been supportive, and there might be reasons why she hasn't mentioned Alex to the others. We should trust her," Emma suggested, hoping to ease Ava's worries. Ava nodded, realizing that Emma had a point. "You're right, Emma. Let's focus on our studies for now and trust that Miss Jeff has our best interests at heart," Ava agreed, feeling a sense of relief.
               ......Emma watched Ava carefully, her brow furrowed with concern. "Ava, let's put the mystery of Alex aside for now, okay? We have important tests coming up, and we need to focus on our studies. We can solve the mystery later, I promise. Just for the next 16 days, let's give our best in the tests and concentrate on our goals," Emma suggested, her voice filled with determination. Ava looked at Emma, her eyes reflecting a mix of understanding and hesitation. "You're right, Emma. I've been distracted by the dreams and the mystery. Let's prioritize our studies and give our best in today's test and the upcoming ones. We can always come back to the mystery of Alex later," Ava agreed, her voice filled with determination. Emma nodded, appreciating Ava's willingness to refocus. But deep down, she knew that Ava's thoughts would still wander to the mystery of Alex, no matter how hard she tried to push it aside.
