Me and C/N had met at the start of our first year of Highschool, being forced to sit next to each other in maths. You were terrible and maths and he was mediocre, so half the time you would just copy him. At first you two didn't talk a lot and you'd just lean over and steal his answers, and he wouldn't say anything.
But over time you started taking to him and you got really close. He's funny, kind, smart and good looking. You're a little surprised he's still single.
Although you're in different friend groups you always find a way to talk to each other and hang out frequently, which you're happy about since you're starting to gain a slight crush on him. Well, a big crush on him.
You two were sitting at the top of an abandoned roof, graffiti was all over the place and it had spiders, cockroaches and other things running around, but neither of you cared. You two dangled your feet over the edge as the sun started setting, it seemed very cliché, and it felt as though it was the perfect moment to confess your undying love for him. But you didn't.
From what you knew, he was straight, very straight. Even though he wasn't the loudest in the class, girls fawned over him like crazy. And who could blame them? He was perfect! It just made you a little jealous, but you'd never say that.
The sunset was beautiful as always, covering the sky with pinks and oranges, it was absolutely magnificent. You felt a bump on your shoulder and you turned to face C/N. He was already looking at you with big eyes. His eyes were reflecting off the setting sun in such a beautiful way that made you able to see every single detail.
He was your definition of perfect.
He moved his hand into yours and squeezed it three times. You knew this meant 'I love you' since you had searched it up before, and you weren't sure if he meant it in a friendly way or lover way. But that didn't matter and you quickly reciprocated, your squeezed were a little tighter, but you didn't care and he didn't either.
Both of you stared at each other for what felt like an eternity, a small smile crept onto his face. It was one of those childlike smiles that just made your heart melt every time you saw them. He looked a little shy and seemed to act a lot smaller, like his body had shrunk.
"What?" You question, a smile was also evident on your face as you tilt your head to the side slightly. Both hands still intwined. He shakes his head a little, "nothing. It's just- never mind" he sighed and looked down at his lap.
You really wanted him to confess, just so you knew he liked you too, but it seemed like you might have to do that instead. "What? Come on, say it" you squeezed his hand three times again, hoping that this would calm him down a little.
"It's nothing!" He lifted his head to the horizon, the sun had set and darkness had covered the area. "Tell me, I'm curious now!" You groaned a little, waiting for him to say what he wanted to say.
"Promise you won't judge" his voice was quieter, he was nervous and it showed. "Promise" you nodded, your eyes had never left his face once throughout the whole ordeal.
"I like you"
You felt your heart skip a beat, but you didn't want to embarrass yourself by thinking that he had a crush on you. "I like you too, you're a great friend" you mumbled, regretting the word 'friend' as soon as it left your mouth.
He sighed, "no, I have a crush on you! I want to be your boyfriend" his voice was shaky and it cracked a little at his confession.
So he did like you, "oh, thank God" is all you said. He snapped his head towards yours and stared at you with confusion, "what?"
You chuckled, your eyes were now glued to his lips. They were slightly parted, "can I kiss you?" You ask, slowly moving towards him.
He sat there shocked but after a second he nodded, "absolutely"
You smiled, pulling your hand away from his as it cupped his face. You tilted your head a little and leaned in, your lips pressing against his softly. His lips were smooth and comforting, you never wanted to pull away.
But of course you did, since you didn't want to go too far. "So you like me?" A smirk on his face as he stared at you with heavy breaths, "obviously"
He let out a low chuckle, "does that mean I can be your boyfriend?" He asked, his body wasn't small anymore, but he held himself up with pride as he asked the question. You nodded, "of course"
"Can I kiss you again?"
"You don't have to ask twice"
