Chapter 4: Into the Unknown

A few hours later, Elias and (Y/n) were laying in his bed fast asleep.

(Y/n) was on her side, sleeping soundly, while Elias laid right up against her with an arm draped around her waist.

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"

Elias furrowed his brows and shifted, laying on his back.

"Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah!"

Elias opened his eyes, and sat up in his bed. He glanced over at (Y/n) who was still sound asleep. He smiled softly, seeing her look so peaceful.

"Ah-ah-ah-ah!"

Elias' smile fell to a look of annoyance as he laid back down and shoved a pillow on his head.

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"

Elias' sat up and glared out the window, before getting out of the bed. He made sure (Y/n) was still undisturbed and draped his mother's scarf over her.

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"

Elias stepped out of the room and quietly closed the door.

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"

🎵Elias: "I can hear you, but I won't. Some look for trouble, while others don't."🎵

Elias walked down the hall and placed his hands on a table, looking at his reflection in a mirror that hung above it.

🎵Elias: "There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day. And ignore your whispers, which I wish would go away, oh, oh-oh."🎵

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"

🎵Elias: "Oh."🎵

"Ah-ah, oh-oh!"

Elias turned away from the mirror and stomped down the hallway.

🎵Elias: You're not a voice. You're just ringing in my ear. And if I heard you, which I don't! I'm spoken for, I fear."🎵

He walked into a room and looked up at two portraits hanging up on the wall.

One was of his parents and him and Anna when they were little, and the other contained him, his sister, his friends, and his love.

🎵Elias: Everyone I've ever loved is here within these walls. I'm sorry, secret siren, but I'm blocking out your calls.🎵

Elias turned away and looked to the giant floor to ceiling windows that surrounded two glass doors that lead to a balcony and spoke as if the voice was right outside.

🎵Elias: "I've had my adventure, I don't need something new I'm afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you."🎵

Elias threw open the balcony doors.

🎵Elias: "Into the unknown! Into the unknown! Into the unknown~!"🎵

"Ah-Ah-Ah-Ah!"
