Now let the story begin.

Ugh, what happened? Why do I feel so...strange?

[Y/N] thinks to himself as he gets up after being knocked unconscious somehow.

The last thing I remember was a big flash of light after Hope tried out a new spell against Tennyson and his family.

[Y/N] : I need to find Hope and make sure she's ok.

His eyes widen as his voice is much more feminine.

My voice, it doesn't sound like my own! It sounds like...Hope's!

As he goes to look at his reflection in a broken store window, [Y/N] gasps as he sees his girlfriend's form rather than his.

How is this possible?! Am I in Hope's body?!

Realization begins to set in as [Y/N] begins to understand what happened.

That spell she casted. It must've backfired somehow and switched my body with Hope's! I need to find her so we can get this fixed!

As soon as he finished his thought, [Y/N] heard a familiar voice behind him.

??? : H-hey babe, how's it going?

The masculine voice says with a nervous chuckle.

[Y/N] turns around and sees his own body looking at him sheepishly.

[Y/N] : Hope, how did this happen?!

Charmcaster : I.....I don't know. The spell was supposed to combine my magic powers with yours, but when Tennyson interrupted it, there was probably some magical feedback that swapped our bodies. I'm so sorry babe, I promise you that we'll find a way to undo this!

[Y/N] : We better, because I do not want to be stuck like this!

Charmcaster : Why? Are you saying that you don't like my body?

She asks him semi-teasingly.

[Y/N] : Of course I do, but do you really want to be stuck in my body?

Charmcaster : I mean, you do have a pretty nice body babe.

She says as she begins doing various poses in front of the broken shop window.

[Y/N] : Oh my god Hope, are you actually checking yourself out right now?!

Charmcaster : Yep. I've always thought you had an awesome body [Y/N], and now that I get to experience it for myself, I must say.....nice.

I honestly don't know whether to be flattered or weirded out by this, maybe a little bit of both.

[Y/N] deadpans as he continues watching his girlfriend check out his body.

[Y/N] : Can you please knock that off?

Charmcaster : Relax [Y/N], I'm just messing around. Now come on, let's go to your place so we can get this taken care of.

She grabs his hand (her hand?) and begins reciting a spell, quickly teleporting them both to his home.

Upon getting there, [Y/N] and Hope begin reading through several spellbooks in order to find a way to undo their body swapping.

I've found nothing so far. I wonder if Hope has had better luck?

He looks over and sees his girlfriend carefully reading through a spellbook.

[Y/N] : Any luck babe?

She looks up from the book and shakes her head.

Charmcaster : Yes, I think I found a spell that can switch us back...

Why do I feel like there's a 'but' coming?

Charmcaster : But...

I just had to jinx it didn't I?

Charmcaster : Please don't take this the wrong way babe, but being in your body, I'm not sure if I can cast it.

[Y/N] : What do you mean?

Charmcaster : Since I'm in your body, that means I have your magic ability.

[Y/N] : A-are you saying that I'm terrible at magic?!

Charmcaster : No! Not at all babe! You are a great sorcerer, but you haven't been practicing magic all your life like I have. This is a really intricate spell, and only the most advanced magic users can cast it.

[Y/N] : Meaning?

Charmcaster : Meaning with my magic powers, you have to be the one to cast it.

I have to cast it?! What if I mess it up and make things worse?! I don't know if I can do this!

Hope notices her boyfriend's internal panicking and places a gentle hand on his shoulder.

Charmcaster : Calm down babe, you won't have to do it alone. I'll walk you through it and help you with everything ok?

He nods as she smiles slightly.

Charmcaster : Alright, just do everything I tell you and everything will be fine. Let's get started.

Timeskip

After Charmcaster helps him to read the spell correctly step by step, [Y/N] takes a deep breath before reciting the spell and waiting to see what happens.

A few seconds after he finishes, a familiar flash of light goes off before the couple look at each other in anticipation.

[Y/N] : D-do you think it work?

He asks his girlfriend in his normal voice.

Charmcaster : Yep! We're back in our own bodies again babe, and it's all thanks to you!

He looks in a nearby mirror and confirms what his girlfriend said is true.

[Y/N] : It's great to be back in my own body again, but I can't take all the credit Hope, because I couldn't have read the spell right if it weren't for you helping me.

She smiles and wraps her arms around him lovingly.

Charmcaster : Yeah, but that's why we make such a great pair, we are always there for each other. I love you [Y/N].

[Y/N] : I love you too Hope. In the future, let's not try out new spells in the middle of a fight ok?

Charmcaster : No promises.

He gives his girlfriend an unamused glare before they both start laughing and share a passionate kiss, happy to be back in their own bodies.
