Mignight Panic (Head Engineer Mark)

Thank you for giving me the idea, VioletSunshine_XOXO!

It was midnight on the ship. You were walking around the ship. You couldn't sleep. You walk for a while before getting random flashbacks of moments that happened earlier on the ship. Standing there frozen in the hallway. You lean against the wall and remember all of the lives that were lost. How many people were hurt. You don't even realize Mark until he comes up behind you and snaps you out of your thoughts.
"Cap?"
You look back at him and he looks genuinely concerned.
"Captain, what's wrong...why are you crying? Why are you up this late?"
One look told him everything. He sat down next to the captain on the floor and patted the floor next to him inviting you to sit with him. You sat with Mark and leaned on his shoulder. Mark sat there trying to comfort you. A few minutes go by and Mark asks something.
"Hey, y/n?"
He almost never used your real name. You look up to him and he smiles.
"I- I don't know how to say this but..."
You already knew what he was trying to say and hugged him tightly. He hugged back.
"Guess you already knew, huh?" He asks you. You nod.
"Yeah, half the crew already told me." You told him. He looked embarrassed and you laugh a bit.
"Well, it's late. We need to be getting to bed." He told you and without warning picked you up and carried you with him to the rooms.
"I don't want to be alone." You said quietly.
"You don't have to be. You can sleep with me if you want."
You didn't have to think long before answering with a nod. He brought you in and laid you down with him and you fell asleep before he did.

Sorry if this is really short. I had no clue how to write this, but then again, it's a fanfic. So there is almost no way to write this right. Hope you like it, it isn't exactly a panic attack, but it is almost...I don't know 👁👄👁
Anyways, I have to go somewhere soon, so this was pretty rushed. 🙃
