Sansa passed out seeing her father beheaded and for Arya was taken by a member of the night's watch. He was going to take her to Winterfell where she would be safe.

The news traveled fast of the death of Eddard Stark which made the north rise up against the Crown but mainly against the Lannister.

Not just the Starks were against the Lannisters but almost every house became ready to fight against the Lannister. The North claimed Robb Stark their king, the king of the north.

All of the northern people looked towards him for leadership. So Robb started the battles against the Lannisters, and he was winning.

Which was driving Tywin Lannister mad. Not only that, Tywin was dealing with the Baratheon brothers as well. Stannis Baratheon and Renly Baratheon called themselves king's and they wanted the throne for themselves.

But for Robb the only thing that he wanted was to end the Lannisters for what they did to his family.
