In Winterfell Lord Eddard Stark carried out a task on beheading a member of the night's watch. Something that he didn't want to do but he had to do it.
While sitting in the God's Woods he was cleaning the ancient sword of house Stark while his wife came towards him holding a letter in her hands. Upon that, she told him everything that was inside the letter.
The king was coming all the way to the north with his court. Before that many years ago the Mad King was killed and many were saved for the time being. And what kept it all together if that was the one that was named King, Robert Baratheon.
He was never truly he never took anything seriously, he was never meant to become king but that's what he was. And to make things better for him he had to marry someone from a good house and that person was from House Lannister.
Robert married a 19 year old Cersei Lannister. And everyone in the Seven Kingdoms saw that it was the most horrible marriage that anyone could think of.
But there's nothing of it, both of them did what they wanted and as a result Cersei gave birth to three children with her twin brother Jamie but she passed the children off as Robert's.
But as the years went on both of them changed pretty much everything changed. The children, the Royal children grew up. But things took a turn for the worst when the hand of the king died from an identified fever.
The King was looking for a new hand. And for Robert the only person that he could trust was Eddard. So the king thought it would be a good idea to travel to the north and give this gift to his oldest friend.
Upon the arrival of the Kings and his court to the north both of them discuss certain matters to bring their houses together.
For Robert he brought up a marriage proposal between his son and Eddard's daughter.
At first he was not happy with that decision. In fact, he hated Choice more than anything because he wanted to protect his daughters from certain areas, especially Kings Landing, when it is full of rats, Liars and definitely not a place to be. But of course he did not.
Eddard got everything ready before leaving the North, his daughters followed with him including a few of his men, about 60 that followed him to the Capitol.
The bad thing was that Eddard had no idea what would happen in the end. And how his house would survive.
Things took a turn for the worst when the truth came out about the parentage of the royal children but nobody wanted to believe it because maybe there was fear nobody really knows.
Eddard was taken into custody on false charges of treason and later executed on those false charges from the only one that permitted all this to happen, Joffrey Baratheon.
He became the king after Robert's death due to Cersei's ways of getting rid of him. To place her son on the throne.
