Jeon Jungkook wakes up to the sound of a frantic phone call.

He doesn't fully comprehend the words on the other end of the line, but frantically calls for Jung Hoseok to prepare the car and accompany him to the North. As they make the travel, he can barely hear the words, only muffled words between tears as she begs for him to hurry.

When he arrives, he sees the blonde woman in tears and to his surprise, her vice is not beside her.

"Your majesty, what happ—" he barely even speaks before she interrupts him, showing the urgency in her words.

"Taehyung has gone to the South," she cries, as she hands him a handwritten letter, "... please bring him back for me."

Jeon Jungkook is surprised as he takes a letter, his brows furrowing at the words on the paper.

Your Majesty

Please don't be angry.

I will return with your mother's ashes, I promise.

I can't bear to see how broken you've been, let me make things right.

- Kim Taehyung.

"Please," her fingers reach for his shoulders, her eyes desperately pleading, "... bring him back to me, Jungkook. I know you can go to the palace, my sister will kill him if she finds out that someone from the North has set foot into her territory."

Jeon Jungkook turns to his advisor, who seems perplexed.

"Your majesty," Jeon Jungkook can't help but feel sadness in his chest, "... I want to help, but—if I get caught, they will surely start a war with Busan... wouldn't it be wiser to wait and see if he returns?"

Jeon Jungkook believes that she needs to calm down so that they can come up with a strategic strategy.

"Jungkook, you don't understand. He is all that I have left."

-

Park Chaeyoung feels the way her heart sinks as she sits in the back of the vehicle, squashed in between Jeon Jungkook and his advisor Jung Hoseok.

"I don't think this is a good idea..." she muses quietly, for the fifth time as they make the treacherous travel to the South.

It was the first time she'd ever set foot outside of the borders of the North.

She'd promised them that she'd never step foot into their land again.

"Your majesty," Jeon Jungkook turns at the sound of his advisor's voice, "... it's risky... it could start a war."

Jeon Jungkook however, uncertain of whether it was courage of stupidity doesn't seem phased.

"I know the palace better than anyone, and Chaeyoung has the strongest magic. We'll get him out if she can make us invisible, it'll be draining, but it shouldn't be long. Go in and go out," Jeon Jungkook explains the plan once again, turning to the blonde woman, "... we won't leave until we bring him, I promise."

Suddenly, she felt his hand intertwining with hers, squeezing it tightly. The warmth of his fingers reminds her of the days when they'd played together as children, running around the garden. Opening her eyes, she looks at him. His eyes are on hers, widen in surprise.

"Roseanne?"

Park Chaeyoung feels her heart thumping at the name she hadn't heard in so long.

"You remember?" She questions.
