Present

Her dangling uniform, getting taken by a aggressive hand, and a girl with a murmuring problem,

Her eyebrows furrowed as always, she wore the uniform, staring at her own reflection with a soulless look on her face,

Her hand was clawing the zipper of her bag, and her other hand was trying to fit her giant black journal in her already full bag.

Her phone ringing countinuesly, but being deaf to her ears,

“it’s rivers call, why don't you pick up?” her mother yelled from across the room,

“in a second”

And finally her hands accepted the call, with river glancing at her through the camera,

“ready for school? Olive”

Her eyes landed on river, who's been waiting for this moment as if forever, he opened and closed his mouth several times, as if he wanted to say something but didn't have the courage to do so,

“uhm–get a new boy alright? Now that you're over chase since a year it's been a bit boring, i can't tease you anymore and I can't see you be all delulu” he finally spat out, his words were quicker than a car at it's full speed, but Olivia still understood everything he had meant behind those rapid words,

“no, i’m good like this. After all your Juliet doesn't need her stupid Romeo anymore”

River jumped closer towards the camera, the only thing visible on Olivia's screen had been his eyebrows and  his curly hair falling on his eyes,

“i curse you to meet the Romeo in the most romantic and the most obvious way, so you know my curse did work on you”

Olivia had a urge to roll her eyes several times at him to show him that she doesn't care without using her vocal chords, but as her head was dramatic it always came up with a headache if she rolled her eyes more than one time and if lucky 2 times.

“i’ll tell you that it won't work” she said, her eyes and body all opposing the camera, and facing the mirror once again to brush out her hair,

“it would, it would be like the movies”

As last she had enough and river had finally gotten up to her nerves, she yelled out shut up, not knowing, the little curse of river may work.

She had been late, and she felt that being late on the first day was equivalent to committing a crime. She has been rushing past all the other people on the path to her school,

She just lived about 10 miniuts away from her school but the dreadful feeling of walking in the low sun felt like hours, the air was humid and not cold. There was no breeze.

Her reaching the gate felt like an accomplishment, she internally cheered as she moved forward so nervous to see her new classmates and her new class, that feeling of the school once again beginning, she felt delighted.

All her happiness about school Never meant that she was absolutely in love with the idea of schooling, it was just aderiline on the very first day later on as the days pass her mind changes frequently about everything.

As she had finally climbed all those stairs, struggling for her breath, she was still in a hurry to grab herself her favourite seat before anyone else could reach onto it,

She jogged towards her class, avoiding to get hit by people also having a little run in the hallway, a taller figure approached her, she slanted towards the opposite direction,

Almost reaching onto the class, but the person had the same idea of slanting towards the direction she had been slanting towards, two shoulders contracted together making her being the smaller figure, automatically her being the one to loose her balance,

Jumping on one leg to gain her balance once again, her head turned around to curse the lunatic figure, to see he had been looking at her too,

His features were unique, a sharp jawline, his hair falling onto his forehead almost reaching to his eye brows, and a pink flushed smile, with the slightest bit of dimples.

Time seemed to stop, for atleast a few seconds before she let out internal rage at the poor guy standing infront of her.

“hey olivia! I saved you a seat quick!”
Her friend Sam yelled out, Olivia's attention went back to being seated on her chosen seat, as she rushed towards her classroom and her friend Sam.

But her ears were deaf to the words the boy had to say.

“i’m sorry–”

And there she was thinking the boy had been mannerless, to not even say sorry, she almost had fallen over because of him.

Almost.

Luckily she had gained her balance quickly, and for Sam she had saved her a seat, even if it wasn't really her favourite she was happy it wasn't a very noticeable seat.

Even when she had sat down the thoughts of that very moment won't leave her mind. She has been overthinking again, she had been thinking if rivers evil casting spell actually worked out or not, and if yes was he really the one she was supposed to meet.

“what are you thinking about olive?”
Sam had snapped olivia out of the grave she had been digging for herself.

“nothing. Just first day things”

She looked over at Sam, knowing that she wanted to cut of all ties with her about a year ago. They have their differences and still do, she had a overwhelming feeling sitting right beside her.

It's the first day and she's already stressed out.

“do you know I saw this really handsome guy behind you.” Sam smirked, she opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something but pressed her lips shut.

“there was a handsome guy?” olivia said out blandly, just to remember the boy. He wasn't a very bad looking person. But you can't really call someone handsome without knowing them.

Are they really handsome if they treat you like shit? Are they really handsome if the double play you constantly? Are they really handsome if they have the most beautiful eyes in the rain but they only look for perfect faces and bodies?

Maybe she was really overthinking this, because all she could see in him was another chase, who broke her heart brutally after she told him how much she had liked him.

Those were her feelings towards anyone who was good looking and she didn't know about, the boy chase had changed her head to toe.

Her gaze around people would be stiff, she would never befriend people easily and at last, she started to like being alone. She had been a easy person to talk to but a hard person to impress.

River always hated what all chase changed about her, and wanted her to find someone new who would change all her perspectives, but he had thought it would be another love.

He had really hoped if not in their neighborhood she would definitely like someone in her school.

And perhaps stop judging people as they pass by, and just be a happier person in her life.
