"Jin?" Namjoon was beyond surprised to see Jin visiting his ex-lover's grave. It's not that he requires his permission but it isn't every day you meet someone who actually remembers where your loved one was buried, let alone sit there for whoever knows how long Jin had been sitting there with the new set of fresh flowers carefully placed in a vase beside the gravestone.
"I'm sorry. I didn't think you'll be here today. I just finished doing chores at home and got left with nothing to do and decided to go here to accompany him."
"Oh no, no need to apologize. I'm sure he's happy to have a new face visit him beside me." he replied, "He must have been bored of my face by now."
Jin hummed, "Maybe? But that is only if he doesn't truly love you. When you love someone, their presence won't bore you out especially when that someone has a handsome face."
Namjoon cleared his throat as he felt his cheeks warm.
"You need to get your eyes checked later after we leave. You might have some serious eye problems. I am already in my 40s, so I'm not sure where you get the handsome part from."
"As someone handsome, I know if you are one or not regardless of your age," he replied, smirking.
They spend a good two hours in front of the tombstone talking almost about anything and everything they can talk about and honestly, for Namjoon, it felt as if he is speaking to the real Jin whilst for the other, he thinks this is some sort of dejà vu for him but in a good, warm kind of way.
"So? Want to grab some burgers before I drop you off at my son's apartment?"
"As long as you'll be the one paying, Mister."
"Of course. It'll be a shame on my part to have the pretty man beside me pay for our food, right?"
Jin's eyes widened by Namjoon's comeback which made the other laugh heartily and in content.
As soon as they got inside the car, Namjoon asked Jin for some water and he instinctively reached out the brown paper bag Namjoon bought earlier but never opened as they were too busy in their conversation, in their world. He supposes there's water inside, right? Which it did when he rummage its contents and handed out the water bottle to Namjoon. However, something caught his eye and when he fished it out, he could feel himself sweating. His heart beating loud and fast that if only it could be heard other than him, it would be as loud as the stereo on full blast.
"Oh yeah, almost forgot about that. Hoseok mentioned that you and Jimin once lost a feather last year and told me that if by any chance, this might be the one that you guys lost so I bought it with me hoping I could show it to you first when I drop by your apartment."
In reality, Namjoon still doesn't get it why it could be the feather Hoseok mentioned that either Jin or Jimin lost because he clearly remembers picking it up beside the Tombstone of Jin so why would the two of them lose it there when it was also Jin's first time to be in that cemetery when he asked him to accompany him the last they were there?
Jin heard what the other had said, loud and clear and as much as he wanted to tell him that he couldn't remember him and Jimin losing a feather, he wanted to know why Hoseok lied to his father or maybe, this had happened but was forgotten by him or Jimin. That, he doesn't know.
"Let me," says Namjoon, opening the case for Jin and carefully holding the feather for him to touch. Jin had doubts about touching the feather so just allowed a bit of his finger to touch the ends of it and almost stumbled back from his seat when a warm flush made its way on his body with a series of weird flashbacks that he didn't understand.
Flashbacks wherein Jimin and Taehyung are there too.
"Jin?" called Namjoon out when he noticed Jin's facial reaction, pushing aside the fact that he, too, felt and saw what Jin had.
"I.." he looked at Namjoon before looking back at the feather, "I might be just hungry, that's all."
"Can you..?" says Namjoon, with hope in his eyes, no signs of being terrified.
"N-No."
"Why not?"
"Because, I... I can't. I don't want to.." says Jin, with glossy eyes as he tries to get away from Namjoon's sight but is failing.
"Jin?"
"No, Namjoon.. No!" exclaimed Jin when he noticed how eager the other was and it scared him for some reason but alas, it was too late. Namjoon was desperate for whatever reason upon seeing what had flashed before his eyes and he was not going to let this slide.
He forcibly pulled Jin's wrist so that he could fully touch the feather as his hand reached the back of his neck.
"Sorry, love," he said before their lips touched as a wave of memories and emotions enveloped the two of them.
Jin wants to scream and cry in pain as it happens but Namjoin isn't one to let him go alone on his own, he deepens the kiss every time he feels Jin is going to slip away from his grasp.
