Hi guys! For those of you who have read Simon Says and saw the teaser chapter at the end, will know that Maria and Brian's story is next. I have had a great reaction to Maria being the FMC - some were excited to see me "redeem" her and others just did not like her at all and weren't sure about her being the focal point. My deal is - if you can redeem male characters (I.e. Barron and Simon) then female characters should also get a shot. I really enjoy reading stories where the female is the "bitch" or "OW" in another story, getting their own HEA (within reason, of course. Lissa will never get her HEA).
Maria's story deals with childhood abuse and neglect. I want to get the details right in terms of her therapy in dealing with her past issues and how they relate to her issues with men. Brian (who you met in Simon Says) is a widower. Yes, he still loves his late wife and yes there is OW drama in terms of a sister in law as well as a cameo by Lissa. There is no cheating (IMO), but there will be angst.
