Author's POV :

Beautiful, isn't it? When we fall in love we don't care about the surroundings. We don't think about them. It feels like we have turned everything into a blind eye except for the one that stays in our heart.

The same happened to those Guardians. By not sparing a glance to their surroundings, they fell in love. Without knowing a storm is awaiting them. What they think is perfect, is nothing but the calmness before the storm which will do no good to them.

They stumbled upon love, unaware of the storm's might,
Amidst autumn's enchantment, their hearts took flight.
In golden hues they found solace, a love so true,
But little did they know, challenges would ensue.

Lady Selene's POV:

I held the brush in my hands as I looked at the canvas placed in front of me. There laid the sketch of the person who became the reason of my hammering heart, my blushful smile and the shading of my cheeks.

I smiled shyly at those dark alluring eyes which I just painted. It felt so surreal. Even though it's just a painting, it looks like he's here, gazing at me through his dark orbs.

I dip my brush into those dull colours and brushed it on the canvas, painting his black locks. I closed my eyes and let my hands work. As soon as I did, I saw his eyes, his face, himself in front of my orbs. I smiled unknowingly, staring at the handsome person in front of me.

I slowly opened my eyes and painted those raven hairs. Almost in a trance, I painted himself on the canvas, holding a white flower.

I was done painting. And when I finally took a look at the white canvas in front of me, I gasped. It felt as if he was standing in front of me.

I widened my eyes thinking that when did I get this better in painting?

It's true when they say.. Love makes you express your feelings through the art pieces.

Oh my god! I forgot today is the day when we get back to work! And here I am all messy. I need to get ready fast! He must be waiting for me..

Lord Aelius' POV:

It's finally time for us to work together. I've been waiting for this moment for so long. And finally it came!

I'm trying to show myself busy but I guess it fails every time I do so. My mind is preoccupied by the woman I love. I can't seem to concentrate.

I finally took a deep breath and continued my work when suddenly, Lady Marrissa greeted me, I greeted her back but with an awkward yet nervous smile.

Lady Marrissa never greets any guardian like that except for when she is in a good mood. I guess she is finally in a good mood after a long time of torturing the prisoners in the cell.

Yes, we have a prison too.

"Lord Aelius?" She spoke in her cold dark voice which sent shivers down my spine yet I hesitatingly replied, "Yes, Lady Marrissa?"

She smiled, even though the smile didn't reach her eyes. Lady Marrissa's smile never reaches her eyes. I remember her smiling brightly when Lady Selene and I were kids. I don't know what happened that suddenly her smile stopped reaching her eyes. It's almost as if someone took the life out of her.
