An Eclipse : The Sun and the Moon

Chapter : 9

Author's POV :

Lord Aelius and Lady Selene continue their work after the heated argument.
Yet they are unable to focus as there is sudden heat in the air, which is felt by both.

Both the guardians in their nervousness pretend to work, but it fails as they unknowingly their skin lingers with each other.

Lord Aelius continues to hold the sun intact without even moving an inch, while Lady Selene stands there dumbfounded as she doesn't have any work. She doesn't realizes when she started staring at Lord Aelius.

Lord Aelius' Pov :

Working with Lady Selene has gotten difficult now, as I feel something for her. Her presence does something to me I cannot comprehend. Right now she is doing nothing, yet I feel someone is taking my breath away.

I tried to work yet it failed, knowing that the woman I love is just beside me. Whilst working, I felt a stare on me as I looked towards the culprit.
My face flushed and my cheekbones turned crimson when I saw Lady Selene staring at me with those heart eyes.

I immediately moved my head towards the other side, and tried to look through my keen eyes. She was still staring. I blushed furiously knowing that she was staring at me! I forced a cough which probably did the work of calling her back to reality.

I moved my head towards her, while scraping my neck blushing like a teen in love. I asked her in my raspy voice, "L-Lady Selene, I-I need your help." Dammit why did I stutter! What she'll think of me now? My inner voice cursed at me! But I managed to put a calm expression.

Lady Selene looked at me for a few seconds which was turning me impatient. But I waited for her answer. She spoke in her honey voice, "Alright, Lord Aelius. Tell me where you need my help?" As soon as she said that I coughed out loud. Enough for her to get worried.

She looked at me with her widened doe eyes, whilst she brought her arms towards me trying to calm me. But her eyes turned more wide when our skin touched and I felt a zap. Again!
I guess she felt it too.

We both stared at each other with widened eyes trying to comprehend the situation. I felt the same electric shock on her birthday. What is with us?

She backed away and stared at me while I did the same. My gaze suddenly went to her wrist where her mark is situated and to my surprise it was shining. Lady Selene looked at my mark, and it was shining too.

But the confusing part is our marks shine only when we use our powers. And I'm sure we didn't use our powers.

My thoughts broke when I heard Lady Selene's voice, I looked towards her and she was staring at me with her doe eyes. I immediately put on a smile and asked her, "Yes, Lady Selene?"

She looked at me and said, "You said you wanted my help?" "Yes" I spoke.

Lady Selene's Pov :

He further spoke, "Um, I have a friend of mine who likes someone and I don't- Uhm he coughed. He doesn't know how to confess to her. So could you help me- I mean him?"

I don't know why Lord Aelius stammered this much. As far as I know, he has always been a confident boy! But I guess it must be nothing.
