Chapter 1: It begins

Every supernatural has a mate or mates, it's 2+ people who are bonded together. Someone who you must love. Mates aren't always lovers.

They could be friends but they must love each other. You can try to fight the bond or hate it but it's always there.

Fighting the bond is a terrible thing to do to yourself it's like your heart is fighting with itself.

Until the bond is completed you feel this clinginess to you mate the need to be near them and it's unbearable when you aren't most people give in there and accept it.

There are 3 steps to complete the bond First is to discover, which is where you find your mate.

Second is to feed even witches and werewolves must complete this  it's where you drink your mates blood. To your mate your blood is the most delicious thing they could ever taste and your mates blood is the same to you.

Lastly is intercourse and as you would imagine it's sex. Even if you only want to be friends you must do this it's required.

If all of these steps aren't done then you and your mate will become protective, jealous, clingy, irritated and over all dangerous.

These things will start to happen after you meet your mate. Caroline and Klaus are one of the people this happened too.

Caroline couldn't come to terms with being mated to such a monster so she resisted but Klaus didn't want that.

3rd person

Caroline walked down the driveway to her car looking down at her purse trying to find the keys she had misplaced in it.

Something was wrong everything in her was telling her to go inside lock the doors and don't come out but she had things to do so she ignored the feeling of dread.

She looked up with her keys in hand and their Klaus was leaning on her car. "Hello love" He smiled "Klaus I have somewhere to be" Caroline said annoyed.

"Where are you going" He said jealousy in his voice "Klaus stop pretending to be jealous and move out my way" she told him angry.

"That's the thing love I'm not pretending once the mate bond is started it has to be finished or it'll drive us crazy" He informed her.

"And how exactly do we finish the bond" she asked. "Well the first step is meeting which we done the next is drinking each other's blood and lastly is intercourse" He told her with a smirk.

"Like sex" she asked "You can call it whatever you like, love sex, intercourse, lovemaking it just needs to happen" he told her sternly.

"No it's not going to I'm not sleeping with you or drinking your nasty hybrid blood" she told him anger lacing her voice.

"See love I'm not going to force you to have sex but you will drink my blood" and with that Klaus bit into her neck drinking the most delicious blood he has ever tasted.

When he let go she held the part of her neck he had bitten. He bit his own wrist and offered it to her "no" she refused making Klaus angry.

"Love we both know what happens to a vampire when they are bitten by a werewolf drink now" he ordered.

"I'm not doing this for that stupid mate bond I'm doing it cause I want to live" she said before biting down on his wrist.

As she drunk his blood she let out a moan and Klaus pulled her close. "I know love good huh" he smirked.

After a couple minutes she let go. "You still mean nothing to me Klaus this mate shit means nothing to me don't forget that" she told him.

He looked at her with a smirk that aggravated Caroline. "2 down one to go" he said mostly to himself.
