Count With Me

i cried for over ten times when you left.
i consumed nine pints of ice cream and still couldn't forget,
the way you looked at her who used to be me.
it hurts that you stare at her so lovingly.

if eight were to lay down, it was infinity.
and i thought it was us until the end.
seven letters to define my misery,
this was our dead-end.

but, when all good things come to an end, they said have faith and all will be well. i never believed such a thing, it was foolish as hell.

not until he came.
he had six letters in his name.
and he spoke of me as if no one could tell,
i had more than five flaws that i hid well.

he's a four-leaf clover,
and sunshine to all.
three words, i was healing.
he is a thief, and i would always catch him stealing-

glances, when we're just a few meters apart.
in a room, across from each other we sat.
we were two broken hearts who found remedy
in the midst of being alone.

he found me scarred, and i met him bruised. i could tell whenever his eyes met mine, he too, was scared to trust someone with his heart. and it's too soon to call it love, but every once in a while, i like to think that i found the one.

count with me.
