~ Hikaru's POV ~
I am so nervous right now...Wendy couldn't have made things worse. At first I thought she was joking, but then she said 'Hon I'm for realzies'. I sent her '😡😡😡 are you kidding I'm gonna lose!!'. I wonder what the consequences are...plus, boy fights are regularly face to face, fist to fist if you know what I mean. That is what I hate the most, mainly because I suck at it...a lot. And I mean that. I am also nervous because I had heard Pablo and his friends did wrestling, and i'm like, "umm this isn't going well at all.." and was cursing for a while until I had to head for class.
I was heading for class, that is, until Wendy stopped me in the hall. I was mad at her and tried to seize her grip, but she wouldn't let go.
"What are you doing?!?" I ask her.
"What I said is what I meant! You have to fight Pablo!!" Wendy replied frantically.
"I'm not doing it. Pablo can be your boyfriend, because I don't care," I said. And it was true..Wendy probably didn't like either of us anyway!
~ Wendy's POV ~
Oh my gosh. I cannot believe Hikaru just said that!!! He knows I don't like Pablo, so I quickly explain to him how bad this is. He just shrugs and looks at me with a face that says, 'Whatever'. Crap...
What I said to him is that Pablo will go after me even more, once news spreads around that Hikaru is giving up. He will pay extra attention to me, or even do what he did the last time... (read chapter 2).
I can't belive it. I just can't... I mean, Hikaru just....giving up like that? These antics are not like him!!! This is all I think about while I go to class..at least, while I was going to class! I felt Pablo's hand and grimaced inside of my head.
"This is going to be fun..." I thought as he pulled me close.
"So..when's the fight?" he asked.
Unable to keep my secret because of that curious face, I told him, "Oh, Hikaru gave up..." I added a wink.
Pablo grinned. "Looks like you finally caught on, huh?"
I giggle as his hand touches my face.
Then we kiss.
