Gia didn't like it when people threatened her. She was not just a simple woman. She was the Boss of the Benedetti Family and she not only deserved respect, but she also demanded it.

"My Family will take care of me, and I will take care of my Family, Donato. Your grandson has made a big mistake. Perhaps you should consider keeping the bastard child after all, but don't for a moment think that I will have anything to do with it. If I get pregnant then my child will be my heir and take over for me when the time comes. If I don't then when the time comes, I will deal with it, but I will not be subjected to this amount of stress to produce a fucking heir for your Family. Gio already has one and I'm not happy about it Donato but it seems that you are." Gia stood there watching the old man's face change from angry, to concerned, to realizing that she was informed on what he had been doing behind her back.

While Gia had been running around like a petulant child keeping all eyes on her, Jacob had been doing a lot of digging right under their noses but since they were so busy chasing her around, they had not been too aware of what her end game had been.

The old man didn't know what to do. He could deny whatever it was that she thought she knew but it was of no use. The young woman was much smarter than they had all given her credit for. He had underestimated her and now he was paying the price.

"You need to understand that I have a Family to look after. Gio is the oldest and he needs to have a child to take over when the time comes. It is the way it has always been done. You might be able to conceive but Gio needs a woman that is not broken." The moment Donato had spoken the words he realized the mistake he had made. He had let his emotions get the better of him.

"Yes well, good luck with that then. I'm sure you'll be the one to inform Gio that thanks to you, his marriage has been ruined." Gia reached up to her ear lobe and pressed the diamond stud. Seconds later Gino, Marco, and Trent appeared.

"You alright, Boss?" Gino asked concerned for the woman who he had come to care for. She reminded him of his late wife. Both strong women but underneath all that strength lay a sensitive woman that needed to be cared for.

"I believe this is where our relationship ends, Donato. As of today, my Family and your Family are no longer connected. You have broken that bond." Gia turned and walked away hearing the old man cursing to high heaven.

It took less than a full day for the Benedetti Family to know of the severed bond with the Drago Family. As was tradition, no business and relationship with the Drago Family would be accepted. They were just another Family in their world and nothing more.

Gia's phone blew up with messages from Gio and Donato realizing the major fuck up he had caused. She ignored her phone and eventually had to turn it off. She spent the day with Roger terminating any and every deal they had or were about to make with the Drago Family. Needless to say, Dante was beyond pissed and he as well had tried to get a hold of Gia, but Gino was not allowing that.

Her security had been bumped up to having not only her three guards in the car with her at all times, but a car would ride behind her as well with five men for the time being. When bonds between Families were severed, shit usually hit the fan and Gia knew this. She would have to be more careful in the weeks to come.

Anthony waited for her at the restaurant when she arrived. The look he had on his face was that of a man out for blood and if it was her blood he was after, he was about to find out how far she was willing to go to protect her Family.

"What the fuck is going on, Gia? What is this shit I hear that Donato disrespected you? Gio is fuming and has no idea what the hell went down and is tearing into his grandfather as we speak," Anthony said, following her to the office.
