I woke up this morning, bored like I had been the past few mornings. I know this house is big but still there's not much to do here. Not with Tristen never leaving me read.

I laid in bed this morning for awhile, scrolling through my phone. I eventually got ready and went downstairs to the kitchen. I got some yogurt and fruit and ate my breakfast.

After breakfast I went downstairs to continue painting. Quickly I finished the painting from the night before and grabbed more supplies for another one.

I started painting like I normally do, painting strokes however I feel. Eventually I had stopped to look at the painting, and I had realized I was drawing a outline of a person. I was painting Tristen not even realizing it.

I decided to keep painting him I wanted to see what I could do from memory. I painted for hours. I was so focused and calm, it was nice to finally feel like that.

I finished finally and it had actually looked like him. I made sure to paint his eyes with the darkness in them. It was something that made him unique.

I looked at the time and realized Tristen was going to be home soon. I went upstairs and took a shower. I put on a cute little black dress and my hair in a clip. I looked pretty.

I don't know why I felt I needed to look pretty tonight but I did.

I finished with my makeup when I heard a knock on my door. It was a maid. "Tristen is home" she told me.

"Thank you, I'll be down in a moment" I said to her. I took a deep breath and headed downstairs

I walked downstairs and saw Tristen in the kitchen taking out the ingredients from the fridge. He turned when he heard me walking down the stairs.

He had a white button up on. The sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, and the first few buttons were undone.

"Like what you see?" He asked me after I stared straight at him for a few moments in total shock of his body.

"Oh um sorry I um.." I said embarrassed. He just laughed and gestured me over to the island in the kitchen.

"Okay we are about to make a Versace family pasta recipe, pay very close attention" He said excitedly. I laughed in response.

"All right let's wash our hands" He said as he headed for the sink. We washed our hands and put on our aprons, fully ready to start cooking.

He showed me how you mix the egg and flour, roll the dough, and use a pasta maker. We spilled the flour and threw it at each other.

"Is this part of the recipe!" I yelled after we got in a flour fight. He laughed at me and said "it's the key ingredient"

We laughed and looked at each other. He quickly cleared his throat and dropped his smile. That was weird

I stayed silent for a moment.  "Okay time to cook this right?" I said trying to change the subject.

We salted the boiling water and tossed the pasta in. While the pasta cooked we sat down at the island and poured some wine

"Did you paint today?" He asked me. "I did, for a few hours" I said remembering what I had painted.

"Let me see it?" He asked maintaining his straight face "Oh.. um no" I said looking down. He stood up and stepped towards me. "That wasn't a question Mel" He said in a demanding but soft voice.

I sighed and went and grabbed my painting. I stood in front of him for a moment before turning the painting around to show him.

"Someone's been thinking about me" he said smirking, grabbing the painting. I rolled my eyes sitting back down

"Yeah sure" I said sarcastically. "This is really good" Tristen said looking in my eyes. "Thank you" I spoke quietly.

Tristen set the painting down and sat down, moving my chair closer to his. He took his hand and pushed my hair behind my ear.

"Is this how you flirt with all your girlfriends?" I asked him jokingly. "I've never dated someone or really been with many people. The job makes it pretty hard" He said.

"Really?" I asked surprised. "Really" he said getting up to drain the pasta. "What about you?" He asked me.

"It was to dangerous to date anyone, I didn't want to get them involved in any mafia stuff" I said to him. "That's smart" he said setting the pasta down. "Time to make the sauce" he said changing the subject.

He made the sauce, while I spun the salad and set the table. We sat down and started eating.

I took a bite "Wow Tristen this is really good!" I said taking another bite. Tristen laughed.

"Thank you, it's my great grandmother's recipe" Tristen told. "Can I ask you a question?" He asked.

"Yes" I spoke quietly. "Do you like this lifestyle?" He asked me almost feeling bad.

"I mean I was born into this lifestyle, it's all I know so I guess I do. I mean I get scared but I think I like it." I told him truthfully

"I don't want you to feel sacred here, it's very safe" he said very sincerely. "Thank you" I told him.

We are our dinner and made small talk. After dinner I got up and started on the dishes.

"Do you want to watch a movie?" Tristen asked me. "Sure!" I said excitedly, happy to finally watch a movie with someone.

We sat down on couch and he handed me a blanket while he scrolled through the movie selection. "A horror movie okay" Tristen asked me.

"Perfect!" I exclaimed. He picked the Shining, he said it was a classic.

It was pretty late, it was about 10:30pm. I had jumped a few times at the movie but decided to hide under the blanket. I had closed my eyes and fallen asleep, I accidentally fell my head on to his shoulder.

Tristen:

We were watching a movie when Melody's head fell on to my shoulder. I was surprised but I let her sleep. I finished the movie and decided to carry her up to bed.

I set her down on her bed when she started to stir, she grabbed my wrist and pulled me to her. "Stay" she whispered.

I was shocked for a moment but I listened, I grabbed some sweat pants and went back and slid into bed with her. I moved closer to her feeling her warm skin against my body. It was nice. Sooner or later I fell asleep.
