Melody
Tristen left the room with a smirk on his face. Like he knew exactly what he just did. Yes it was hot but it also made me angry.
Which was gonna make this night a fucking mess
I finished my painting and headed up stairs to a bunch of women in my room assigned to help me get ready for this ball tonight.
I have gone to these things before but as the daughter of a scary mafia boss, but now I am to go as the wife of the most powerful mafia man in the world. The thought of that made me smile.
Tristen picked out a gorgeous gold dress. I may be mad at him but he did choose a beautiful dress. It was long and obviously ball gown style.
The hairstyle curled my dark hair in beautiful tight curls. Then the makeup artist did my make up with light gold eyeshadow and thin eyeliner.
I looked gorgeous tonight, I made sure of it. I wanted Tristen to fall at his nees as soon as he saw me. I wanted him to feel bad.
After a few hours of getting all ready I went down stairs to meet Tristen and head to the ball.
I slowly walked down the stairs and saw as Tristen's head turned and his eyes focused in on me. He looked at me as if I had no clothes on, like I was fully exposed. He had lust in his eyes.
As I reached the last stair he held his hand out for me. I took it reluctantly, still mad at him. "You look so beautiful I mean fuck your stunning" he said keeping hard eye contact.
"Thank you" I mumbled quietly, pulling my hand away and walking to the car in front of Tristen.
Outside was a gorgeous limo. Although there were tons of guards, Tristen still insisted on opening my door.
We both slid in to the empty limo. Why would get a limo for just the two of us?
The thirty minute drive was completely silent, pouring drinks here and there. Soon we arrived to a gorgeous venue.
Our door open and we stepped out onto a red carpet filled with cameras in our face. Instinctively I grabbed on to Tristen's hand for dear life out of the fear of all these people.
Eventually after we pushed through the cameras we made it inside to a beautiful ballroom. The room was filled with very scary looking men and expensive women.
"Our tables over here in front" Tristen said still holding my hand as he led us over to our table. His parents as well as mine were seated at this table. I was very nervous about that.
A waitress in a very tiny cocktail dress came over touched all over Tristen well handing him a drink. He looked over at me before swatting the women away, leaving her storming away in tears.
"Here" Tristen said handing a glass of champagne he flagged down from another waiter. Without thinking I downed the glass, earning looks from everyone at the table.
"So Louie, how's the business doing?" Tristen's dad asked mine with a smirk on his face.
"Let's dance" I said to Tristen as I grabbed his hand, just trying to escape that table of mafia business talk.
"Thank you" I whispered as we made our way to the dance floor. Of course it had to be a slow song.
"I don't mind" Tristen said as he grabbed my hips and pulled me closer to him, starting to move to the song.
After a few moments of silence he spoke up again. "I'm sorry about the wedding night, I was stressed but that was no excuse I am sorry"
Wow that caught me by surprise
"Why didn't you apologize sooner? It's been so uncomfortable around the house" I said coming off more angry then I meant. "I wanted to just every time you walked in the room you looked like you wanted to punch me" he said with clear vulnerability in his voice.
"I probably would have if you kept ignoring me" I said chuckling a bit.
"You're a special person Melody, and as shitty as our situation is, I wanna get to know you." Tristen said looking down.
I said silent deciding what to say. "Okay" I say and he smiles. "But one thing-" before I could finish my sentence I feel Tristen's lips on mine.
It was different this time, it was passionate and full of lust. He kissed me deeper and deeper every second. The kiss felt like it had lasted hours when it was only a few moments.
Tristen pulled back looking deep in my eyes, "let's get out of here" he says before pulling me away.
"We have only been here for like five minutes." I say while stopping in tracks. "Don't you kinda have to be here?"
He stopped walking, looking like he was thinking about something. He pulled me in close before whispering in my ear. "We will eat dinner quick, then we'll go home and I'll have my dessert"
I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as a smirk tugged at his lips. Quickly he kissed my head before pulling me back to our table.
He pulled the chair out for me as we sat down. Our parents were talking about boring business stuff, Tristen rolling his eyes ever so often at what they are saying.
I felt Tristen's slowly place his hand on my thigh as the waiter put down our food.
"So how is marriage life going?" My mom asked while digging in her food. Tristen squeezed his hand on my thigh before replying. "Very good" he said with a slight smile. My mom hummed in response.
I stuffed food in my mouth hoping to leave as soon as possible. Tristen noticed and cleared his throat before announcing "we're leaving". He grabbed my hand and stood up. I wiped my mouth "it was good to see y'all" I said while Tristen pulled me away.
On the car ride home we opened the champagne in the limo, not getting to drunk but drunk enough, before we arrived home.
