The entire week flew by so fast I couldn't even catch up. All the dress fittings, skincare, and bruise treatments were so overwhelming. They still couldn't get the bruise completely off my face. They covered it pretty well with makeup though. Once they were all done I finally got to look at myself.

I couldn't help but smile. Annabelle came in and she was beaming. Her black hair and red trumpet dress with flowers made her look powerful. Important.
I was scraps compared to her.
But again, they did that on purpose.
The look in her eyes.. It was almost jealousy.
"You look great. It's time to go so we should get a move on." I nodded. "I will tell you the rules in the car."
Once we stepped into the limo everything became real. Fear and panic ensued me. The Sovereigns could do anything they wanted to me. Torture me.

"Rule number one. You are my plus one so you will stay by me at all times unless I say." She started firmly.
"Rule number two. Don't look the Sovereigns in the eyes. It's a form of respect. Be careful of all your actions. It will affect us both poorly if you do."
"Lastly, do anything they say. Anything they tell you. That family has power over all of us. Don't cross them. You might find your match. If you do, you can leave with them. If not, you will come back with me, unless I find my match. Then you will come back with King Owen"
I just nodded again. I really didn't know what to say. This isn't anything I hadn't heard before. Annabelle had gone to banquets before.
Why was she so nervous?
Soon after we arrived at what I was guessing was the entrance. As I stepped out of the limo my eyes engulfed the sight of the biggest mansion I had ever seen. It was very modern with a walkway up to the house with lights lighting the path.
