The most surreal part about the day was how beautiful it was. Bright, sunny, perfect for taking a walk with someone special to you through the forest or...maybe even through a certain festival.
I didn't care who saw me crying now. There was only one thing on my mind.
She's gone.
It kept repeating.
She's gone. She's gone. She's gone.
There's never any way to bring her back.
I walked down the sidewalk. People passed by, but I barely noticed. My mind was consumed with memories of her. Memories of us laughing, talking, and just being together. Now, it felt like there was a huge void in my life.
I wasn't sure I was going, but when I arrived, I knew that this is where I was supposed to be. I opened the door and walked inside.
There was a woman working at the counter. "Just you this time, pumpkin?"
"Just me," I sniffled.
"Tapioca pearls?" She began to reach for a scooper.
I took a breath and swallowed my pride. "Two teas with strawberry bobas, please."
