[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
Jonathan stared at the heavily fortified town in the distance, before looking at a large mansion that was in the middle of it, carefully considering how he should attack the town and rescue the Dark Elf girl that had been bought to one certain noble.
He was informed by Olga that normally, she would send thousands of monsters to destroy the towns, and several tens of thousands more to destroy a city like the Fortress Cities that were now named Ur, Feoh, Thorn, and Ansur.
They were made by Celestine and several thousand Dwarves, Halflings and even people of other races, before the High Queen and the Goddess of Eostia had blessed them through pillars that would protect the people in the face of danger from Olga(*1).
Shaking his head to return to reality, Jonathan made up a very good plan that involves causing chaos while using the distraction to get into the mansion.
He stared at the Demons that he personally led, and were heavily trained in the arts and were all disciplined enough.
"Hopefully, this would be enough...." Jonathan muttered, thinking of ways to spend less Psychic Energy as the few of the only ways for it to be recharged was through sleep, and gaining focus (like Vergil DMC5), though the former was most effective.
Artificial Psychic Energy generators like his suit and what was in his precious rifle from.l his previous life will work, too.
Lower Psychic Energy meant he was more susceptible to emotional outbursts, stress, and possibly more susceptible to mind attacks, so he was quite paranoid.
And right now, he was at the level of a Rank C ESPer, someone who could potentially destroy a city block, which was far from his former rank of "S", which was among the highest ranks of all ESPers in his universe.
Anyway.....
"The only problem was that arrived at the right place, but a little more early than I expected it to be...." Jonathan muttered, before he shook his head. "... Well, I was the Black Eagle and this is my best job, at least. I cannot hesitate here."
The cloak he wore had now covered his entire body, enveloping him in an aura that emits mystery and hid his identity.
Based on the Intel he had gained from his scouting imps, the town he was about to attack housed around 3000 people, including John Mandeville, and the guards and knights were only around 600 to 700.
There was a young female knight that he had to avoid at all costs, though.
"Very well, begin your attack!" Jonathan ordered, just before he created a ball of pure Psychic Energy between his palms, before launching it towards the wall at the distance.
It left behind a large explosion that opened , before Jonathan focused to quickly recover his lost energies.
Confidently smiling under his cloak, he believed a force of 75 trained monsters were enough to be a distraction while they also pillaged what they need for the base that was being built.
His demons roared out as loudly as they could the moment they were close enough to the town, just to bring the attention to them.
Due to it, townspeople who couldn't fight began to hide, and the knights and guards ran towards the position where the demons roared in an effort to defend their town.
"Olga's forces are here! Begin defending Lord Mandeville's town!" One of the knights yelled out as his commanding officer led the defense.
Arrows were fired towards the orcs, but they were actually pretty quick and did not hesitate to skillfully attack the puny humans.
The imps were merely there to quickly take away as many materials and loot as possible before they left even if very few were shot down by capable magicians or archers.
A well-taught minotaur was also the town's worst enemy this moment too. It's very destructive, and made sure
Aside from that, this distraction was pretty much the best in allowing Jonathan to sneak past several humans and climbing up rooftops for a short while to John Mandeville's mansion in the background.
While a few things were happening at once, the forces of demons might have been unlucky due to someone....
No, two people who will possibly become their last enemies before they fall.
"Young Claudia, this will serve as your final lesson, as I will introduce you to your first real battle!" An old man with a half-shaven hair spoke with full confidence on his daughter, as she readily took out her sword that was almost as tall as herself.
"Yes, sir Grave!" Claudia replied, as if she knew what to reply.
In this timeline, or fanfiction, Grave is Claudia's actual blood-related father, completely replacing Klaus while he, uh.... died stillborn.
Even if she was around 9 years younger at this time, her training and education came mostly from her parents, at her current Age of 16, she was already much more skilled than the supposed elite knights of the Seven Fortresses.
And right now, she had been instructed to fight real demons while Grave stood aside to observe.
Sometimes demons would approach him, but they all were dead in a few swift slashes of his sword, and due to that, he was becoming curious.
"Hmm.... Is Olga personally training her demons this time?" Grave asked, before he shook his head to watch Claudia carefully to find any
Claudia, having some difficulty fighting against the highly skilled demons of Jonathan, as the moment they threw their axes towards her, she swiftly dodged before leaping forward in speeds of 130 km/h.
It was so swift that an Orc was unable to dodge her attack, and his head was pierced by her sword.
"Take that, demon!" Claudia confidently spoke, before using her strength to pull out her sword and jump away to dodge a powerful fist from another Orc.
All her current experience and skill being put to the test, and her stamina still had some more minutes to be effectively used.
The orcs were also coming up with newer plans to defeat her with numbers, even though they were currently outmatched in many different aspects....
They inmediately realized somebody else had to defeat her instead.
"Retreat! Retreat!"
So they retreated to call for that "somebody".
"Where are you going!? Come back here!"
Confused, Claudia stood her guard and looked around, only to notice a heavily cloaked Jonathan leaping from rooftop to rooftop from afar, and he was becoming dangerously close to John Mandeville's mansion.
Approaching Grave, Claudia began to look like she was going to plead to him at any moment.
"What is it, Claudia?"
"Father, someone's approaching Lord Mandeville's mansion! And I believe it was him who led the attack!" Claudia replied, her muscles tense.
Grave nodded silently, as he unsheathed his sword to be ready for the swift battle for the town.
"Go on and give chase," Grave said. "I shall have my rusted gears cleaned through one good battle. Make sure you apprehend whoever led the attack; the others will handle him soon." Grave stated, as Claudia immediately shot off to where John Mandeville's mansion was.
But.... he was already inside way before Claudia was near John's mansion, breaking through one of the windows in the process.
"Right.... let's get moving."

Author's Commentary: Oh no! Claudia is here!
Extra Note:
*1: I wonder.... what did I change in Celestine, what else would I change in this world?
P. S. Mana and Psychic Energy are different types of energy, except the latter is more connected with the mind than the soul and bodily aspects while the former is both more into the soul and body.
